🤣🌟Mitch Benn: The Lehrer Effect🌟🤣

📅 Date: 12 July
⏰ Time: 4.30pm
📍 Venue: Watford Palace Theatre - 1908 Cabaret, Watford Fringe Festival 2026

When, years ago, a teenage Mitch discovered American comic songwriting legend Tom Lehrer, the course of his life was changed forever. Mitch looks at the legacy of the elusive Lehrer, the creative debt he, and all those who mix humour and melody, owe to him and performs some of the more Lehreresque of his own songs. Since Mr. Lehrer placed his entire catalogue in public domain, expect a few Mitch Benn-ified covers of some of Tom’s most famous creations as well.

Tom Lehrer died at the age of 97, immediately before the premiere of the show in Edinburgh, which means that the show became a heart-felt eulogy rather than a living tribute to the artist.

🤣🌟Nutting Really Matters🌟🤣

📅 Date: 10 July
⏰ Time: 6.15pm
📍 Venue: Watford Pump House, Watford Fringe Festival 2026

Stewart Nutting presents a thoughtful, story-led stand-up show about nihilism, burnout and the strange things we choose to care about anyway.

Blending personal storytelling with quietly absurd observations, the show explores what it means to live in a world that often feels meaningless - and how people try to build purpose from everyday experiences. Moving from an overthinking childhood into adult life, it traces a journey through doubt, awkwardness and the search for something that feels real.

Rather than relying on dense philosophy, the material is grounded in specific, relatable moments - small interactions, habits and fixations that take on unexpected importance when you’re trying to make sense of life. The result is a show that balances humour with reflection, building towards a simple but practical idea: if you can’t solve meaning, you can still choose what to care about.

Thoughtful, slightly bleak and unexpectedly warm, this is stand-up for anyone who has ever questioned the point of everything... and then carried on anyway.

🎤🌟Proud Watford and In Good Company present: Sing In Good Company🌟🎤

📅 Date: 13 June
⏰ Time: 7pm
📍 Venue: St Mary's Church, Watford Fringe Festival 2026

Getting you in the mood for the Fringe, come along to this musical theatre singalong evening as part of Pride Month.

Proud Watford and local award-winning musical theatre troupe In Good Company have joined forces for an evening that's equal parts spectacular and joyful — Sing in Proud Company, a guided musical theatre singalong like nothing else in Watford this summer.

The evening begins with an exclusive preview of In Good Company's brand new Watford Fringe show, Heart & Music — a first look at the show before it hits the Fringe. Then, the stage belongs to all of us. Led by the talented performers of In Good Company, the whole room comes together for a guided singalong through the greatest moments in musical theatre — where the only thing you need to bring is your voice.

Whether you're a seasoned West End devotee or someone who only sings in the shower, this evening is for you. Inclusive, uplifting, and genuinely euphoric, Sing in Proud Company is everything Pride Month should feel like.

Profits are split equally between Proud Watford, supporting LGBTQ+ community events and outreach across Watford, and In Good Company's 2026 charity, Mission EmployAble — an incredible local organisation that trains young adults with learning disabilities into meaningful paid employment.

Two great causes. One brilliant night. Come and sing with us.
