FRIDAY 20 FEBRUARY 2026 -
12Midday to 3PM at Deverell Hall Vintage Collectables will be attending the hall to buy your jewellery to watches to silverware and cameras, we buy them all.

This event is being run by a hirer so please contact them directly.

A very Happy New Year 2026 to you all. At Deverell Hall we are always busy which is good, but sometimes it means we don't always have time to post socially.

The 2026 bookings calendar is all completed, and regular hirers have been contacted as a reminder.

Our casual hire enquiries are even busier than normal which is cool, and we look forward to serving the community in this year coming. Keep warm!

The Purbrook And Widley Area Residents' Association PAWARA will be holding a public meeting from 7PM to 9PM. PAWARA works for all residents in the Purbrook and Widley Area and all residents are invited to participate, and learn more about their local area and discuss any issues of concern to them. You need to contact the group directly to see about joining and/or supporting matters of concern in your area.

IMPORTANT - DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A FORMAL BOOKING?
We deal with multiple emails every day, every week and every month. When it comes to finalising a formal booking, then you need to make it clear that you wish to proceed to avoid any possible misunderstanding. For the actual booking form we will require your full name, postal address, type of event, date and time requested. We will also need your contact telephone number and an email address. We will then send you on a separate email a Booking Form, instructions on how to pay, and outline the details of the date, time and hall you are booking with us.

Your booking will ONLY BE CONFIRMED when payment has been received by us, and you have received a confirmation email from us. PROVISIONAL ENQUIRIES are noted, but we cannot guarantee to keep the date and time available until a booking is paid for.

You will be requested to pay an INITIAL DEPOSIT (which secures your booking) and then at least 30 days prior to the date requested, you need to then pay the balance.

A Hundred Years Of Service
Quietly tucked into the corner of Campbell Crescent Purbrook stands the Deverell Hall which is anything but quiet. The Hall was full of community spirit and laughter as groups who regularly hire got together to celebrate it's centenary. A new memorial stone located on the exterior wall above the front window commemorates the occasion and although the Hall may be old the groups within show a diversity of both age and interests. Thank you to Councillor Paul Tansom for attending to help us make new memories going forward.
