If you are a town centre business and want to share any news, events or offers with our marketing team email - [email protected] Whatever brings you here to visit, work or live, you’ll discover a compact, modern market town at the heart and the hub of one of the fastest-growing and best-connected boroughs in the North West where many people decide to relocate. In just 40 years our

population has tripled from 70,000 to over 210,000 bringing with it new housing and good facilities for residents in health, transport, education and leisure. Our location has attracted many businesses to locate in Warrington. Major companies including United Utilities, Electricity North West, Offshore Wind UK, Sellafield Ltd and New Balance have their headquarters here, giving rise to Warrington being described as a ‘laboratory city’ built on a long history of science and manufacturing in chemicals, wire and brewing. With multi-million pound investment, the town centre has grown too and has a vibrant shopping, leisure and cultural offer. The primary shopping destination is Golden Square which is home to top high street brands, leisure attractions such as Superbowl and hosts a huge array of events throughout the year in the Old Market Place. This is also a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a bite to eat in the open air, under the historic canopy or inside a café in the mall. In 2020 the new Time Square development opened. Here you will find a state of the art, Cineworld multiplex cinema, Gravity Trampoline Park and the award-winning Warrington Market with its vibrant mix of independent retailers and food and drink businesses. Heritage and modernity come together in the oldest parts of the town with new restaurants and bars opening around Palmyra Square close to the Parr Hall and Pyramid Arts Centre and to the north of the town centre where new office space and residential developments are breathing new life into the area opposite Central Railway station.

Award-winning Warrington Sky Garden has received National Lottery Community Funding 🌱

From the seed of an idea to launching in summer 2022 to becoming a blooming success story, the Sky Garden project has been awarded £20,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund and recognised for the way it connects people with nature in the heart of Warrington.

In addition to more homes for wildlife, new plants, and more fresh produce grown for the community, the grant will fund a free ‘green wellbeing’ course for adults later this year, as well as open-air family events in summer.

Tree Fest in July will feature family theatre performances, face painting, large-scale forest puppets, woodcraft demos and collective art displays, while Animal Antics in August will give youngsters the chance to meet farm animals and take part in craft activities.

The Guardians sit in Market Gate, arranged in a circle around the fountain, and they've been a fixture of Warrington town centre for over 25 years.

Designed by American artist Howard Ben Tre and completed in 1999, they were part of a major overhaul of the town centre that helped shape the space we know today.

Much has changed in Warrington since then, but these sculptures have become a familiar landmark for anyone who's grown up here or spent time in our town.

San Lorenzo is the place to be in Warrington 🇮🇹

It sits inside the beautiful Treasury Building on Palmyra Square, and it's more than just a restaurant. Depending on what kind of afternoon or evening you're after, there's a different space for you.

🍴 San Lorenzo is the main Italian restaurant, open for lunch, à la carte, and Sunday dining. The menu is packed with Italian favourites, like pizza, pasta and seafood.

🥂 Charlie's Bar is where things get a bit more relaxed. There’s a full pizza menu covering everything from a vegan marinara to a goat’s cheese and fig number with honey and pine nuts, plus a ciccheti menu if you want something a bit lighter.

🍸 The Terrace has an entirely different vibe, with its own food menu and even a cigar list. It’s an all-weather retreat with two retractable roofs so you can enjoy the summer sun and be cosy during the cooler months.

Have you been to San Lorenzo’s before?

Businesses, charities, community groups and individuals are invited to join Warrington’s Pride Parade on June 13th 🏳️‍🌈

Warrington Pride will once again bring performances, entertainment and community activity into the town centre, with the parade forming one of the biggest parts of the day.

The parade will begin at 12 noon from Time Square before making its way through the town centre and finishing at Golden Square Warrington shortly after.

We’re encouraging local businesses, venues, schools, charities, sports clubs, community organisations and groups of friends or colleagues to take part and help bring colour, music and atmosphere into the town centre.

Alongside the parade, a wider programme of activities will take place throughout the town centre, including live performances, talks, workshops, and community events hosted by venues and organisations across Warrington.

For more information or to register for the parade, head to the link in the comments.
