We extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible performers, whose exceptional talent made the first Warrington Concert Series truly memorable. Our audience enjoyed original compositions, classical improvisations and emerging young talent.

Our deep gratitude also goes to our dedicated volunteers and our wonderful audience, whose presence made it all possible.

Thank you for supporting live classical and jazz music.

We look forward to bringing you more in the very near future đŸŽ¶

Throwback to our Evening of Jazz with Les Chisnall (piano) & Iain Dixon (clarinet).

Les shared, “Improvisation isn't for the reserve of jazz musicians. Classical music also has a rich tradition of improvisation that has kind of got lost along the way.”

Les and Iain performed their interpretation of Handel's Aria ‘Lascia Ch’io Pianga’ to demonstrate how opera singers of the time might have improvised.

Traditionally, the singer would perform the melody as written by the composer, and then improvise on the repeat, as you can hear in this clip.

It's inspiring to see the brilliant range of musicians of all ages we have in Warrington! Last week, we held our first community concert, welcoming performers from 7 years old to adults. They showcased a wide variety of music, including original arrangements, jazz, classical and pop - a real display of hardwork and talent by all. đŸŽ¶

What a treat it was to experience an exclusive, first-ever performance of an original composition, "King George VII," last night for the closing evening of the Spring Edition of Warrington Concert Series

Composed by freelance composer and RNCM - Royal Northern College of Music student Will Sharland, the new work was beautifully performed by George Blakesley (bass clarinet) and Jonathon Fisher (piano) at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, with Will in attendance.

Yesterday we enjoyed a fantastic afternoon at our community concert with Warrington Piano Academy - bringing together pianists of all ages and skill levels from across our town.

The audience were treated to a wide variety of music, including jazz, film, classical, and pop, with cello, violin, voice, and French horn amongst the mix too! A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part and shared their talent and hard work with us, and to our brilliantly supportive audience. đŸŽ¶đŸŽč👏🎉
