In 2012, The Green Bean was born as a natural parenting support group on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/APUKWantage/) It is aimed at local families (Wantage, South Oxfordshire) who are already interested in a gentle approach to parenting and those that were just exploring ideas outside of normal convention. In 2013, we became affiliated with Attachment Parenting UK and the group now meets weekly. It has been amazing to be part of such a growing community. In order to meet the needs of the group, we started a small sling library which is slowly expanding, mainly due to kind donations and also a bit of revenue from sling rentals. We also have a council supported cloth nappy library and a very well stocked book library. Aloma and I completed our baby wearing consultancy training through Slingababy in early 2014, which was a truly amazing experience. Its been a very full and exciting year. Now we are ready to take The Green Bean to the next step. As well as giving one to one and group support through our baby carrying consultancy we also stock a selection of quality baby carriers, slings, babywearing accessories and other selected natural parenting products. We will be attending children's events and festivals throughout the year so come along and say hello! We are aiming for another jam packed but exciting year which he hope you will share with us.
