💡 SOMETIMES YOU DON’T REALISE HOW DARK A ROOM HAS BECOME…
Until you brighten it.
Both of our Masonic Temples have been receiving some long-overdue attention to their lighting and ceilings.
These are extraordinary rooms, full of architectural detail and symbolism — but over time, darker ceiling colours and ageing lighting meant some of that detail was simply disappearing into the background.
So we’ve started changing that.
Ceilings have been repainted in much paler, sympathetic colours to reflect more light around the rooms, while the lighting itself is being upgraded.
We’re also introducing dimming control, allowing the atmosphere to be altered appropriately during meetings and ceremonies. The difference is quite remarkable.
Suddenly cornices, mouldings and details which were previously lost in shadow can be properly appreciated again.
Importantly, we haven’t tried to change the character of these rooms. We’re simply allowing you to see more of what was already there.
