On Sunday 20th September, those doors will be open to everyone.

As part of Wirral Heritage Open Days, you’ll be able to explore Wallasey Masonic Hall, discover more about this remarkable building opened in 1911, see inside our Lodge Rooms and other areas of the Hall, and find out a little more about Freemasonry in Wallasey.

Pictured here is our Composite Lounge – one of the rooms you’ll discover as you make your way around the building.

We’ll be serving a traditional Afternoon Tea inside the Hall, including:

☕ AFTERNOON TEA IN A PIECE OF WIRRAL HISTORY 🍰

For one afternoon this September, the doors of Wallasey Masonic Hall will be open to everyone.

As part of Wirral Heritage Open Day on Sunday 20th September, you can explore our wonderful 1911 building — and, if you fancy making an afternoon of it, sit down and enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea in its historic surroundings.

For £17.50 per person, enjoy a selection of sandwiches, homemade fruit scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, homemade cakes, plus unlimited tea and freshly brewed filter coffee. Or make it a little more special with a glass of Prosecco for £22.50 per person. 🥂

Entry to the Hall is completely free between 12pm and 4pm, but Afternoon Tea must be booked in advance.

When Wallasey Masonic Hall opened in 1911, the magnificent Corinthian Suite quickly became the setting for Masonic banquets, Festive Boards, Ladies’ Nights, celebrations and special occasions.

For more than a century, generations have gathered beneath its ornate Edwardian ceiling to dine, toast friendships and mark important moments in their lives.

And now, in 2026, the Corinthian Suite begins a new chapter.

For the first time, we’re opening up more of the Hall’s unique hospitality experience for your celebrations too.

Wallasey in 1911 looked rather different from Wallasey today… but inside this building, quite a lot has survived.

Wallasey Masonic Hall was purpose-built and opened in December 1911, with many of its principal rooms retaining their original Edwardian character.

Look upwards when you visit and you’ll find decorative ceilings and plasterwork. Walk up the main staircase and you begin to get an idea of the confidence and ambition with which the building was originally constructed.

Then there’s the Large Lodge Room upstairs — one of the highlights of our Heritage Open Day tours and a room normally seen only by members and their guests.

On Sunday 20th September, 12–4pm, we’re opening the building to everyone.

Thousands of people pass our building on Manor Road every month, but surprisingly few have ever seen what lies inside.

Wallasey Masonic Hall opened in December 1911, built at a time when Wallasey was a thriving and prosperous borough. More than a century later, much of the original Edwardian character of the building remains.

On Sunday 20th September, from 12 noon until 4pm, we’ll be opening the doors as part of Wirral Heritage Open Day.

Come inside, have a look around and discover a building that has been part of Wallasey life for almost 115 years.

There are grand rooms, remarkable plasterwork, historic portraits, Masonic symbolism and rather more local history than you might expect…

👀 And yes — you’ll get to see inside the Masonic Temple too.

On Sunday 20th September, they’ll be wide open.

As part of Wirral Heritage Open Days, Wallasey Masonic Hall will be welcoming visitors from 12 noon until 4pm to come inside and explore one of Wallasey’s fascinating historic buildings.

Built in 1911, the Hall has been part of the local community for well over a century — but unless you’re a Freemason or have attended a function here, there’s a good chance you’ve never seen what lies beyond the front doors.
