Live on the Thursday Night Main Stage – and we can’t wait!
The Wonder Stuff are one of Britain’s most enduring alternative rock bands. Formed in Stourbridge in the West Midlands, they enjoyed major chart and live success throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, releasing four acclaimed albums and a string of hit singles and EPs.
Driven by the songwriting of frontman Miles Hunt, the band became known for their infectious melodies, sharp-witted lyrics, and a sound that evolved from energetic guitar pop to incorporate sampling, folk, and country influences. They were also closely associated with fellow Black Country favourites Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and Pop Will Eat Itself, sharing stages and touring together over the years.
Their achievements include:

A UK No. 1 single with “Dizzy” alongside comedian Vic Reeves

17 UK Top 20 singles

Three UK Top 10 albums

International touring success

Six songs reaching the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in the United States

After an emotional farewell performance at the Phoenix Festival in 1994, the band reunited in 2000 and have continued to tour and record ever since.
