The Mark Dempster Memorial Rally will be a car meet, held on Saturday 24th September 2022 at Lakeland Motor Museum, Backbarrow, Cumbria, LA12 8TA. Mark recently lost his battle with cancer, and as many of you will know, Mark was a huge car and motorsport enthusiast. He began rallying in an Opel Manta in the early 90's before moving to Hillclimbing where he had a number of successes before purchasing 'Holly' his Ford Escort Mk II in order to return to the stages in 2018. Mark was also an avid marshal on rallies all over the North West and was in the process of completing his training to become a qualified Motorsport UK scrutineer. The intention is to have as many motorsport derived vehicles on display as possible, however all noteworthy vehicles of all ages will be most welcome on the day between 10am and 2pm. It is Marks family and friends intention for the day to be a group of like minded enthusiasts gathered together in order to keep Marks memory alive and celebrate his life
