Devil o' the Highlands Footrace

We can confirm that the Devil o' the Highlands Footrace has just made a £3000 donation to the Official West Highland Way Trust as a thanks for the charity's support of the event.

The West Highland Way Trust was established in 2024 to help maintain the route and ensure its sustainability, connecting people to nature, protecting the environment, supporting rural communities and preserving it for future generations.

The Trust alongside the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park provide the organisers with advice and liaise with landowners and other organisations involved with the west highland way.

Dedicated to protecting and maintaining Scotland’s most iconic long-distance route. Support the 96-mile trail and help keep it thriving for future generations.

2026 FOODBANK DONATIONS

Huge thanks to everyone who donated to the Lochaber Foodbank collection at the race.

We are delighted to inform you that a NEW RECORD TOTAL of 652kg of food was donated which equates to c. 1000 meals.

This is over 200kg more than the 2025 total of 448kg.

2026 DEVIL MERCHANDISE

If you fancy something extra to remember your 2026 race experience by then there are event hoodies & vests available. These need to be PRE-ORDERED via our online shop and will be available to collect at the finish line on race day.

The DEADLINE for ordering is midnight on SUNDAY 22nd March (midnight)

You can order these even if you aren't participating this year, however, there will be a small extra charge to cover postage.

2026 WILDHEART SOCIAL RUN

Hope your training is going well.

We are again delighted that Karen and Debbie at Wildheart Runners have arranged a Devil related social run on Saturday 28th March. This could be an ideal last long run on race route. These runs are always friendly and relaxed and Debbie and Karen always make every feel welcome.

RUN DETAILS

Date - Saturday 28th March 2026
Location - Glencoe Mountain Resort
Time - Arrive at 8:45 for 9am start.
Route - 5 hour out-and-back along the west highland way north from Glencoe. Don't worry if you can't manage the full distance - you can always turn back earlier and run whatever feels right for you!

This is a social run, not a guided run. Please familiarise yourself with the route and wear/bring suitable kit for exposed trails and hills. By participating you agree to do so at your own risk. Please car share if you can and park responsibly. There is an honesty book for parking so please bring some cash for this.

There's an option to stay for lunch afterwards, and the mezzanine area in the cafe has been booked.

The Devil o' the Highlands Footrace, a 42-mile ultra over the northern part of the West Highland Way from Tyndrum to Fort William, took place this year on Saturday, 26th April. Thank you to the organisers for an amazing donation of £2,500 towards the maintenance of the trail. More information
