A huge thank you to everyone who came along, entered a team and supported the 2026 Gordon Storey 5-A-Side football event this weekend ⚽
It was a great success, raising over £2k for local charities and community groups ❤️
Well done to the winners of the Adult tournament who regained their title "5 At The Back" 🏆 , and the winners of the U9's football tournament were "Wargrave Wolves" in a very very close penalty shoot out 🎖️
Events like these are always rewarding especially for me seeing so many people get together, meeting new and old faces. Hearing old stories of people who may of been involved in local clubs or who may of known Gordon. Gordon was a great character in the community raising money for local charities and community groups and much more ❤️
This weekend would not be possible without having so many people volunteer and help support the day, and therefore a huge thank you to the following:
❤️ Lisa, Rob and Colin (The Dream Team) without these people the event would not be where it is today. This is the team that plans and makes the magic happen with me
❤️ Tilly and the whole Storey Family, for their amazing bake sale, refreshments and support throughout each years event 🍰
😮💨 Our referees, who were there all day keeping the games under control and in check ⚽
❤️ Nikki at RG10 Magazine who not only participated in the Wine & Pilates class but who also gathered up a huge amount of steps alongside Lisa selling raffle tickets 🎟️

❤️ Rural Pie Co., Frostreat, Glass Half Full, Pilates (Fit to the Core) for their amazing food, drinks, frozen shakes and exercise 🥧🍷🤸♂️🧋
❤️ Stanlake Wine Estate for their donation of wine keeping the Pilates class hydrated. Hall Hunter for their extremely kind donation of strawberries
⚽ Brian, Ralph, Deano and Ludo from the Comets who helped set up the goals and pitches 🥅
❤️ Twyford Parish Council Lucy for booking us in, the use of King George Rec and for arranging the pitch marking 🙏
❤️ Twyford Youth Centre - Jen for the use of the Youth Club changing rooms and for unlocking and locking up on the day 🙏
❤️ Twyford Scouts for the use of their marquee during the event, keeping people covered and cool at times when the sun came out
