This just in from Day Of Wreckoning

After the weekend we've had we're pleased to give you some good news!

As many of you saw Cranial Seperation will not be playing Day Of Wreckoning or ever again.

So taking their slot in The PIT - Basement Venue at McCann's Npt will be the heavy, occult rhythms of Tumanduumband keeping the noise level nice and loud.

We have also been informed that due to medical issues Z Machine have had to withdraw from playing this year, however we wish them all the best and will hopefully get them to come back again!

So kicking off the day at Le Pub with their anthemic brand of power/prog we have Bristol's Awake By Design who will bringing technical skills and soaring vocals.

Both are brilliant additions to this year and we're looking forward to them taking the stage alongside our M2TM Finalists, Guest Bands and The Wildhearts

Hot. Sweaty. Very Very Loud!

That's just a description of the team here but it's also about last night!

You packed Green Rooms on a Bank Holiday Saturday, drank ALL of the Cider and watched four great bands play for their chance get on stage at Corn Exchange for a place at Bloodstock Festival

Alas only three of the four Semi Finalists can progress so it's congratulations to Excursia who took the fan vote.

While after a LOT of deliberation and brain wracking the judges went for Disrupt The Continuum and Risperidrone

That means that unfortunately Blood Red Lips journey for this year is over, however they left it all on the stage, props, fangs and theatrics included.

Please do yourself a favour and check out ALL of our Semi Finalists as the talent pool on South Wales is very strong.

So we have our six who will be taking the stage to open the Day Of Wreckoning, which will close with the mighty The Wildhearts

Thank you to everyone who came down to The Bunkhouse Swansea for the West Semi Final!

We are one step closer to Day Of Wreckoning and we have half of our finalists after tonight.

So as not to keep you in suspense they are as follows:

Taking the crowd vote were Grindhorse 83 as they surf into our Newport takeover.

The judges made their decisions on INSCAPE and House of Hosts, who will both bring their modern metal to Corn Exchange.

Manumit gave their all but unfortunately it just wasn't to be this time but all the bands were on fire last night making for the closest showcase of South Wales talent yet as the judges vote took over an hour!

We're halfway there so we'll be living on a prayer into are second semi final this Saturday (23rd) at Green Rooms
