Come and grab a piece of local history.

You will have read that our local one-day music festival, Tonbridge Calling, is sadly closing after 9 magnificent years.

We have some official TC tee shirts left in stock which will be for sale at the Barden Residents Association Yard Sale on next Saturday 12th July outside 7 Barden Park Road, 11-2pm.

Reasonable donations accepted, pay what you can, five Tonbridge Calling reusable beer glasses free with each t shirt.
We have a range of colours and sizes from baby to XXL.

All funds raised will be donated to local charity FEAST.

After much debate and consideration, sadly the time has come to announce that Tonbridge Calling will be closing down permanently.
Rising operational costs, the continuous search for sponsorship and the amount of time and energy it takes for us to put the event on has made us reevaluate what we want to do with what little free time we have when not working.
We know how much Tonbridge Calling means to our community and we want to thank absolutely everyone who made each event such a success. This includes our brilliant sponsors, stewards, vendors and all the amazing acts who took part plus anyone who shared our posts on Social Media, & of course everyone who came along on the day to enjoy the fun!
TC was originally only supposed to be a one-off festival to celebrate togetherness through music, dance, spoken word, food and drink ; but was so popular that we kept it going year after year. We are delighted to have exposed many local bands to a wider audience and to have role modelled what can be done to recycle event waste in Tonbridge.
It’s worth remembering that this thing came from just a little idea, and as a group of friends, we made it happen, it was successful, grew into quite an event in the calendar and people had fun- for free. Anyone can do this.
Thank you for your understanding and we urge you to support all the upcoming music festivals in Town.

Thanks so much to all the wonderful charities and community groups who took the time to apply to our offer to give away our fabulous marquee!

We just wish we had enough to give a marquee to all of you, but there is only the one- it was a difficult decision but we are delighted to reveal that the lucky and very deserving recipient will be ! 🎉👏🥳

They will be using the marquee to provide a sheltered outdoor classroom, picnic space, covered area for activities at events and for bands and DJ’s at their summer parties 🤩

We can’t wait to deliver the marquee to the farm and find out more about the work of this brilliant local charity ❤️

An amazing opportunity for a lucky local charity or community group! 😊
The iconic Tonbridge Calling stage marquee has become surplus to requirements. We’d love to donate it to a local organisation who will make good use of it.
It measures 6x6 metres, has four independent sides and is a great, heavy duty piece of kit which cost us £1k a few years back.
If you or an organisation you can recommend would like to apply please email us at [email protected] by 31st January, telling us how it will be used to benefit our community, and we will be delighted to choose a worthy recipient 😍

TC ‘24 ANNOUNCEMENT

Greetings from Tonbridge Calling HQ!

It takes a lot of work to stage a festival and personal circumstances mean that, regrettably, we are unable to give the attention needed to make it happen this time. So this year will be a fallow one for the event (if it’s good enough for Glastonbury, right?) and rest assured we’ll be back at full tilt for 2025.

Thanks to everyone for all your support and we look forward to seeing you next time.

Absolutely blown away and humbled to be included in this stunning new mural, what a fabulous addition to the Tonbridge skyline! It’s such an honour to be part of this wonderful Tonbridge Youth Hub project created by Graham Upton.
From the very beginning of Tonbridge Calling back in 2016 to our sixth festival last summer, this is a testament to the support of the community volunteers and local businesses who have been there all the way and helped to make Tonbridge Calling such an unmitigated success!

We take our responsibility to the local and wider environment very seriously at Tonbridge Calling 🌎🌍

No single use plastic is sold on site and there are separate bins for recycling with stewards on hand to manage their use.

It’s been a challenge to find an effective way to recycle the rubbish generated by the event but we are delighted with what was achieved this year! 😊

General waste bins are provided & collected by TMBC but recycling is up to individual events- we are proud that TC is leading the field on this locally and hope to do even better next time 💚🤞

We worked in partnership with local firm who provided recycling bins for plastic, glass, cans and cardboard. This was meticulously sorted by some of our incredible volunteer stewards on site to avoid any contamination and collected by Lili Waste Services on Monday morning.

Thanks to all of you for being so great & using the right bins- the photo of the park was taken on Sunday morning with not a piece of rubbish in sight, what an incredible result! 👏👏👏
