Well...the weather may have let us down slightly but thankfully it didnt put everyone off, we are exceptionally greatful for all the cars that did attend, Thank you to the stall holders and business's for doing their thing and their donations, also everyone that came and supported the charity, and special thanks to our 'family' of helpers, we couldnt do it with out you!
Many thanks to Witheridge Sports Club for the use of their facilities,
And last but least thank you to The Mitre Pub, Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Devon , Quince Honey Farm, The Milky Way, Royal Devon Hospitals Charity, Pat and Phe for their draw prizes and Lynn Hutchings Johns & Philip Johns for their exceptional cake and tombola contributions,

Still plenty of time to book your pride and joy in 🚘, or a car boot space, we have had some lovely donations for our (hopefully) massive tombola but if you have any mis buys, unwanted gifts or any thing suitable for a tombola all donations will be greatly appreciated, Royal Devon Hospitals Charity will be doing the draw this year, and if you would like a stall please message me our page 😊 , kindness .

Something very special is taking shape at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital 🌱

Thanks to your incredible generosity, work has started this week on project to transform an unused corner of the hospital into a dedicated ICU garden — a peaceful green space for some of Devon's most critically ill patients 🌻😊💜

For people fighting for their lives in Intensive Care, days can stretch into weeks without ever feeling the sun or breathing fresh air. This garden will change that. Beds, patients, and all their medical equipment will be able to move outside — giving families precious moments together in a calm, natural setting.

“We want to give our patients and families a breath of fresh air,” said ICU Garden Project Lead Andrew Lockwood.

“We know that an accessible outside space like this will make such a big difference to our patients and studies show that it can help speed up their recovery.

“Unfortunately, this type of space just isn’t possible with NHS funding so we are very grateful to the local community for their kind support.”

The team have been working hard to raise the money needed – including creating and selling their own cook book – and are so close to hitting their fundraising target. If you’d like to help them get over the finish line, there’s a link in the comments below 🔗💜

Royal Devon Hospitals Charity going over and above for your locsl NHS, anyone wanting a carboot pitch or a stall please message us, not interested in cars..not a problem, come along and have a ice cream, cup of tea, try your luck on the tombola or maybe a treat from one of our stalls all for a great cause 😊
