Held by right of king Stephens charter granted in 1136
Fairs are always the same date every year 24th August 17th September unless the date falls on a Sunday and it rolls to a Monday fair

Morning all,

Little update on where we’re at with things since building started.
We’ve had meetings with Leeds city Council and Leeds gate and tried to come up with a solution the council have no land of their own within the boundary area.

We have suggested some possible sites that could potentially be used but again these have been put forward for development.

A letter had been produced by Leeds city council and signed, to show that we have the full support of the council and other authorities to hold the fair.

*Fair update*
It has finally happened the diggers have moved in on what were the fair fields at the moment we are still working on trying to find an alternative land to hold the fairs but as yet we’ve found nothing suitable within the parish boundaries to keep the uk’s oldest horse fair going.

Quick note : camping only from the 16th to 6pm
On 17th will be charged at £25

Just a quick note to say pull on day is Sunday 24th and fair day is 25th
There’s a lot of motors already around the local area and very few places please just respect our neighbours
And we will see you all in the morning
