Y not Bar + Grill Thurso is looking for a Chef, accommodation available, if interested or know off anyone please get in contact..

We are looking to recruit a motivated, creative and positive chef to join our ambitious team.
Here at Y-NOT we specialize in offering great food and we require a chef to work alongside our chefs in the preparation of our menu.
Must be motivated to create new ideas with regard to building on the success of the business, possess leadership qualities and have an understanding of food safety.
You would be expected to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and have already had experience in this position although full training will be given.

This is a Full time permanent position , 5 days per week
wage is dependant of experience

Hiya Everyone..

I have some news regarding our Newie..
I feel the day has come to move on, due to other work commitments + my priorities in life changing I feel this is the time to move on, my 15 year lease comes to an end soon + am taking the opportunity to hopefully pass on the music venue to someone else who can carry on the good work we have built up getting the Newie Thurso on the live music map + enjoy it as much as I have.

Thank you to all my friends, staff + customers who have supported me + the Newie over the 15yrs, if not for you I wouldn't have achieved what I have today...

To promoters who I have worked with over the last 2yrs thank you for your advice, guidance + of course all the amazing bands..

To every last single band/artists that have travelled the journey to bring your music to the Newie from the bottom of my heart thank you so much you have been an inspiration + have made my last 2yrs an absolute BLAST + wish you all the love n success in the future..

But most of all thank you all for the memories that will last forever for all that have drank, danced, sang + laughed with me it's been the best + craziest days of my life so far..

Am sure you all have photo's, stories + memories that you will remember + share with friends forever..

So it looks like it might be a bit of a blowy and chilly New Year. Don't worry though - The Newmarket Bar is open til 2am tonight and is ready to welcome you revellers with open arms!
