I've dropped an event email to you all in regards to this weekend's adventure.
Here is the email for those who didn't receive it or have not yet entered and want to know what it says.

A Message from RedSky Bikes in Thirsk:
Hey up peeps.
Stu here from RedSky Bikes.
I'm back from my hols, so best ping you a pre-event email.
Right, I've booked the weather for you (again) and it should be dry, cool and with the trails running sweet.
Needless to say, come prepared.
To those who have done the NYM300 before, you know the drill.
To those new, welcome.
Here are a few things I feel I need to let you know about before you venture off and start moaning about food, the route, bailouts, food, the route and difficult sections.
It's my route. I designed it. It wasn't meant to be easy, so expect some sections to test your resolve.
The route is accurate, but I'm not responsible for algorithms or GPX downloads and data transfers and all the other digital wizardry altering the route slightly. Don't worry. You will figure it out.
Take food, buy food, pack food. You can go off route to find food as long as you rejoin the route where you left it. I didn't plot the route for you to experience a culinary adventure. Plan your ride, plan your refuel.
There will be some grub, tea and coffee here at HQ before you set off.
Rider briefing at 7.45 am on Saturday morning.
The ride starts at 8 am.
I go home at 8.01 am.
I'll be back at HQ very early Sunday morning, and I will remain here till Sunday 6 pm-ish.
If you finish the ride, bail or do your own thing, then let me know via our NYM300 page or text me on 07826721463
There will be hot food, veg soup, potatoes, tea and coffee when you return, if I'm here.
Don't leave anything at the shop.
Those who finish the route, the whole route and nothing but the route, will be rewarded with a NYM300 badge (or for £20 you can buy one).
On a personal note, my mate on two wheels, Adam Adey, will be riding his first long-distance ride; he did the Dirty Riever this year and that almost killed him, and Adam wants to finish sub 24hrs. Adam, a recently retired soldier, is raising some cash in aid of Combat Stress, something very close to his heart.
Here is a link to his Just Giving page. You will see why this is so important to him, so please give a little. Please.

If you want a taster of what to expect, then please check out these two fantastic videos of the North York Moors 300. They both give you a great insight into what you will face on your two-wheeled weekend two-wheeled adventure.

You are going to have a fab ride. It's a real banger and something to get your teeth into. The North York Moors are beautiful and the route will smack all it's got full in your face. Have fun. Enjoy your adventure, stay positive. It will end at some point. Ride like a champ and have a great time.
Any questions, then please head over to the North York Moors 300 page. Type a question, doesn't matter how trivial. It might also help someone else out, and I'll get back to you, or someone else may help.
Oh yes. Parking. There is a lot of parking right near the shop. Go round the back of Aldi toward the shop. There is a large paved area where you can park for free. It's all visible on Maps.
That will do you. I've bikes to fix.
See you Saturday.
By for now.
