We are aware of the recent discussions in the local press regarding the Wales Sportive, which unfortunately has not fully captured the full picture. Both we and the local councillors are continuously exploring ways to minimise disruption to daily life while maintaining our position as a global leader in multisport events and experiences.
We can confirm that for 2025, road closures and the hybrid opening system, which we successfully introduced two years ago, will remain in place.
As a local business, we deeply understand and are sincerely grateful for the patience of the communities affected by the closures. We will continue to work extremely hard to minimise any disruption caused. We also appreciate the continued support from these communities and the recognition of the positive impact the event brings to local businesses, the community, and our LCW Children’s Legacy Programme.
We are committed to working closely with community councils and our dedicated volunteer groups to deliver what is widely regarded as one of the best multisport festivals in the world.
