Mental Health Awareness Week.

Looking back at these photos from last October’s MLA EXPO is a timely reminder of the importance of connection within our industry.

Events like EXPO are about more than products, services, and industry discussions. They’re an opportunity for locksmiths to meet, share experiences, exchange ideas, and strengthen the professional relationships that support our trade.

Many locksmiths work independently or spend long periods working alone, which is why staying connected to a professional community matters.

On International Women’s Day, we recognise the contribution of women across locksmithing and the wider security industry.

At MLA EXPO25, Joanne Milne-Rowe, managing director of Codelocks. was presented with the Val Stokes Award for Women in Locksmithing, recognising her dedication, professionalism and support for the industry.

Achievements like this highlight the commitment, leadership and expertise helping shape the future of the profession.

🏆 MLA Expo 2025 Show Awards – Best Product
Huge congratulations to Souber Tools!

Their new Composite Door Inside Basic System (CDIS) impressed the judges:

"Another hard year with so many new products on offer, but we felt that Souber tools new Composite door (inside basic system) CDIS would be universally welcomed by all working locksmiths as these doors are now so common and was also on sale via a huge amount of Expo 2025 exhibitors."

We’re thrilled to announce that, together, we’ve raised an incredible £7,615.33 for Andy’s Man Club! 💙

Huge thanks to everyone who donated prizes, bought tickets, or bid in the auction — the raffle raised £4,174.40, the auction added £2,400, and Jeff Turner’s Bring & Buy brought in an amazing £1,040.93.

Shout-out to Dave Stapleton for putting his own creative spin on the raffle — it was a real highlight!

Official Statement from the MLA Board of Directors
Following recent social media comments we would like to clarify several points about attendance at MLA Expo 25.
1. No companies were banned from exhibiting, and we are pleased to report that exhibitors experienced a positive and successful weekend
2. Mr. Mark Santi did not book an exhibition stand for this event. Had he done so, he would have received advance notification regarding attendance eligibility.
3. Mr. Santi also did not register as a visitor or exhibitor. Again, had he completed the registration process, he would have been notified ahead of time about his ineligibility to attend.
4. The visitor registration Terms & Conditions clearly stated that former MLA members who had been expelled were not permitted to attend the event.
5. Exhibitors who had booked stands were explicitly reminded of this policy one month prior to the event.
6. In light of the above, it is therefore surprising that Mr. Santi appeared unaware that he would not be granted entry upon arrival.
We value the interest shown in our event and remain committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and professional environment for all participants and attendees
