Telford Walk Week has been taking place across our Borough this week.

The event aims to encourage local people, and visitors, to discover new walking routes and explore the hidden gems and heritage of Telford.

If you're visiting Telford then here are some of our favourite walking routes in the area:

🥾 Telford Town Park: this 450 acre park is next door to our venue and is perfect for enjoying a breath of fresh air before, during or after your event.

🥾 The Wrekin: Just a short drive from TIC this 1,300 foot hill offers fantastic views across 17 counties. This is ideal for energetic walkers, with walking shoes recommended.

🥾 The Silkin Way: This 14 mile walking route is a great way to explore Telford on foot. The route takes in Telford Town Park and finishes in Coalport.

🌳Telford awarded Tree Cities of the World status for the 4th year in a row 🌳

We were delighted to hear that Telford has recently achieved this award again as it is a fantastic recognition of the Borough's commitment to investing in green spaces through the planting and conservation of millions of trees.

Tree canopy cover is estimated at almost 20 per cent and includes the 450 acres of Telford Town Park, which sits adjacent to our venue, as well as woodlands, community orchards and privately owned gardens.

The Telford Skills Show will be returning to our venue tomorrow (Thursday 19th).

Organised by Telford & Wrekin Council's The Job Box team, this one-day event gives attendees the chance to explore the full range of apprenticeships, training opportunities and career options across Telford, Shropshire and the wider West Midlands.

The event is free to attend and is for all age groups.

Shropshire Business Conversation, our two-course networking dinner is taking place 6pm - 10pm (Tickets must be purchased in advance here)

Our exhibitor hall will be jam-packed with exhibitors and plenty of activities to try, including Start Tech Cyber Snakes & Ladders, rowing, Shropshire Festivals human fruit machine, Exotic Zoo’s animals, Chrisbeon remote-controlled racing, lorry driving with Dulson Training and more.

On the Start Tech Seminar Stage, we’ll have thought-provoking seminars on a variety of topics, including business growth, cyber, marketing, and more!

Shropshire Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Speed Networking sessions at 1:45pm (Sold out), 3:30pm (Sold out) and 5:15pm available to register on arrival with Shropshire Chamber or online.

Clear Design will be hosting Marketing Workshops throughout the afternoon, available to register on arrival, or online.

Nick Jones DipPFS will become Mystic Nick, and you’ll have 15 minutes to ask him anything! Drop-in sessions are available between 1pm - 2pm.

From 6pm, our two-course networking dinner with iconic Shropshire business leaders will be taking place upstairs. With thought-provoking talks and panel discussions from Dr Walter Gleeson, co-founder of Music Magpie; Deborah Mitchell, owner of Heaven Skincare; Will Stratton-Morris, former CEO of Caffè Nero; Charlie Blakemore, CEO at Intercity Technology, Steven Owen, managing director of Pave Aways, and Sarah Holmes, managing director of Merrythought. Telford International Centre has its own car park directly outside the venue with FREE PARKING!

🚾 Toilets
Toilets will be located off the corridor next to the Newport Suite, these will be sign-posted.

🍴 Food & Drink
Telford International Centre will be providing food, drinks and refreshments throughout the day located near the inside entrance, these will be card payment only.

✏️ What to Bring
Your biggest smile, a notebook, a pen, and a whole load of business cards! Plus, a fully charged mobile phone so you can make the most of all our photo opportunities.
To take part in the Dulson Training Ltd Lorry Driving activity, you will need to bring a valid driving license.

We will have both photographers and videographers at the event, and any images taken may be used and shared on various social media platforms, our website, news articles, or in print advertising.
