BlueTone Festival is a new celebration of jazz, blues, funk and soul, set in the heart of Somerset. Taking place in Taunton, BlueTone brings together outstanding live music, emerging UK talent and established artists for a weekend that’s all about groove, musicianship and connection. From smoky blues riffs and deep jazz cuts to funk-driven rhythms and soul voices that stop you in your tracks, BlueTone is curated for people who love real live music. We’re building a festival that feels welcoming, high-quality and delivered at a scale that prioritises audience experience and accessibility – a place where music fans, artists and the local community come together. Expect a carefully programmed lineup, great sound, space to discover new favourites, and an atmosphere that invites you to stay, explore and soak it all in.

What does BlueTone Festival mean to you…did you dance like nobody was watching? Enjoy an artist you’ve loved for decades? Discover a new band? Soak up the atmosphere and smile non stop for 4 days?…did you hang out with friends whilst listening to live music, ate good food whilst supporting new, young bands and artists?!

SO many memories were made and we’re looking forward to making many more at BlueTone 2027!!!

Hi, my name is Susie and I joined the BlueTone team not long before the festival in May to help with promoting the event on social media…..I had the best four days covering the event and one of my favourite parts was meeting the artists!! This is me (on the left) with the fabulous Jess Hill!

The Jess Hill Band performed on a perfect sunny Friday afternoon and the stunning voice of Jess filled Vivary Park!

I can’t wait to meet Jess and the band again when they perform on Friday 18th September at Sheppy’s Cider Farm as we launch the first ‘BlueTone Sessions’

Because I had such a great time covering the BlueTone Festival this summer I’ve decided to stay on board and help with BlueTone 2027 and everything that leads up to it with regards to social media, marketing etc. I’ll be the one trying to respond as best I can to your messages and comments on here!

We’re going to be completely honest…ticket sales for our first BlueTone Session are very slow at the moment, and we would really love your support.

On Friday 18th September, The Jess Hill Band will be joining us at Sheppys Cider Farm for an evening of brilliant live soul, jazz, funk and groove 🎶

The idea behind BlueTone Sessions is quite simple…we don’t want BlueTone to begin and end with one festival weekend each summer. ..We want to bring more great live music to Taunton and Somerset throughout the year, create more opportunities for musicians and build something that can continue to grow.

But for that to happen, we need people to come along…

BlueTone is completely independent!!
There isn’t a huge organisation or a bottomless pot of money behind us…we rely on ticket sales to pay our artists, venues and production costs and to support everything we’re trying to build.

So, if you enjoyed the festival, want to see more live music locally or simply believe that Somerset deserves events like this, buying a ticket for a BlueTone Session really does make a difference.

‘The Jess Hill Band’ are exactly what these Sessions are all about…fantastic musicians from our local music scene performing a brilliant mix inspired by artists including George Benson, Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder and Incognito, alongside Brazilian music, original material and a few carefully chosen surprises.

It’s great to see the Electric Summer event at Vivary Park bringing in the crowds to Taunton!
It’s been an afternoon of mixed weather but the rain hasn’t stopped the music or the dancing! Well done to Jez and the team for putting this event on!

We’re excited to see the BlueTone Festival 2027 being advertised on the stage screens and we’re looking forward to bringing more music to Taunton alongside Electric Summer when BOTH events return next year!!!

BlueTone Festival is expanding beyond the gates of Vivary Park with the launch of ‘BlueTone Sessions’ – a new series of live music events bringing the spirit of the festival to Taunton throughout the year 🎶

‘BlueTone Sessions’ will present regular performances throughout the year, combining local and emerging musicians with established artists and creating more opportunities for audiences to experience great live music between editions of the annual festival.

🌟🌟The first BlueTone Session will feature ‘The Jess Hill Band ‘🌟🌟a collective of local musicians whose music crosses soul, jazz, funk and groove.

Sheppy’s Cider Farm will host the first session on Friday 18th September, doors open at 7pm with the music starting from 8pm. Tickets are available in advance priced £12, £15 on the door.
