Cromford Steam Rally is shaping up to be our best year yet, and we’re putting the finishing touches on our spectacular lineup.

We are currently looking to add a few more Fairground Organs to the field to ensure that classic, nostalgic atmosphere echoes across the entire event. Whether you have a majestic Gavioli or a charming hand-turned organ, we’d love to showcase your instrument to our thousands of visitors.

🚂Rail and Road Steam and Vintage Gala

Peak Rail is once again teaming up with the Cromford Steam Rally for our fourth joint celebration of heritage transport! This isn't just a train ride—it’s a massive gathering of steam and vintage rail and road power.

✨ What’s On the Schedule?
• Massive Vehicle Display: Explore a vast array of full-size and miniature steam engines, vintage cars, tractors, commercial lorries, and military vehicles.
• Steam in Action: Passenger and freight steam trains will be running all day along our scenic 4.5-mile line to Matlock.
• Hands-on Fun: Try your hand at the controls with our "Driver for a Fiver" diesel shunting experience!
• Exclusive Access: The Rowsley South Jct Signal Box will be open for visits, along with live turntable demonstrations.
• Family Fun: Children’s fairground rides, trade stalls to keep the whole family entertained.

Digging Into History at the Cromford Steam Rally! 🚜💨

Get ready to see some serious earth-moving action! This year, the Working Plant Field is the place to be!

Over the course of the weekend, we aren’t just idling—we’re putting these beasts to work. Watch as we dig, move, and grade an entire field using a massive variety of vintage machinery.

It’s loud, and it’s powerful.

What’s in the Mix?

You’ll see a rotating lineup of heavy hitters, including:
• Vintage Crawlers & Dozers: Watch the steel tracks bite into the dirt.
• Classic Excavators: Cable-operated machines showing off precision and grit.
• Retro Dumpers: Clearing the way as the landscape transforms.
