Better late than never!

We’ve all been a little busy over the past month but thank you everyone that has once again supported us on the site, even if you were unable to make it.

We will be back next year, keep any eye out for those dates and book in early! We’re looking to expand even more for next year, so get the word out - Jamie wants to beat 50 groups for next year 😉

Probably one of, if not my favourite picture with Andy Jackson and Padre Paul from Brasso and Blanco LHG and Dispatches Magazine at this year’s Rails to Victory event at Statfold Country Park.

Six months of solid graft culminating in our best event since we started way back in 2018. This picture from the Saturday evening social says it all, packed out with fellow reenactors we really smashed it out of the park this year despite some small issues.

I keep getting heaped with praise for the success of the event but it’s not all down to me, it’s been a team effort from all. Not just myself, Olivia and Phil, but everyone involved from my own field team to the Statfold bods on the ground.

Roll on next year, for an even bigger and better year 🙂

LOOK OUT DOWN BELOW

What a weekend we had hey?

Now you've all had a week to recover from the event I thought it was time to have a look back at some highlights. I'm sure some of my staff friends won't be surprised to find that the first highlight I post is the Flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's wonderful Dakota which flew over us at about 200ft!

What a display they gave us!

We have a few lovely photos of it above the site

1-3 are from Myself
4 is from Pete Gully
5 is from Ryan Handbury

If you have any photos of it's appearance at our weekend please post them below

A fantastic picture of our recreation of a Flight Engineer panel from a Handley Page Halifax BIII ,taken this weekend at Rails to Victory

We received a lot of compliments on the display and plenty of smiles from those pushing the engine start buttons to get the panel roaring into life.

Photo courtesy of Dispatches Magazine (Original in colour, changed to B&W for dramatic effect, because we're feeling that mood at the moment.)
