❤️ Great to be at the Human Rights Congress Wales in Cardiff yesterday and hear from so many amazing speakers discussing a draft Human Rights Bill for Wales.

As we continue to work with children and young people across Wales, it's encouraging to see growing momentum behind a future where everyone's voice is heard and valued.

Roedd hi'n wych bod yn ran o Gyngres Hawliau Dynol Cymru yng Nghaerdydd ddoe a chlywed gan gynifer o siaradwyr gwych yn trafod drafft o Fil Hawliau Dynol i Gymru ❤️

Wrth i ni barhau i weithio gyda phlant a phobl ifanc ledled Cymru, mae'n galonogol gweld momentwm cynyddol y tu ôl i ddyfodol lle mae llais pawb yn cael ei glywed a'i werthfawrogi.

Wrexham University and Betsi Cadwaladr

Balch iawn o siarad yn lansiad , sy'n dathlu profiadau pobl ifanc wrth iddynt drosglwyddo o wasanaethau iechyd plant i wasanaethau iechyd oedolion.

Mae'r prosiect yn adlewyrchu'r dull rydym yn ei hyrwyddo bob dydd: gwrando ar blant a phobl ifanc, rhoi mwy o rym i'w lleisiau, a defnyddio eu profiadau i ddylanwadu ar newid ledled Cymru.

Delighted to speak at the launch of the , celebrating the experiences of young people transitioning from children's to adult health services.

💫 𝐍𝐨𝐚𝐡'𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟

O'r cyntaf cychwyn roedd hi'n amlwg bod popeth wedi'i gynllunio gyda phlant a phobl ifanc mewn golwg. Yn ogystal â chyfarfod â thimau anhygoel Noah's Ark a Sparkle, gwelsom sut y gall gwaith celf lliwgar, mannau chwarae, cŵn therapi a cherddoriaeth therapi helpu i wneud profiadau anodd ychydig yn haws i gleifion ifanc.

Mae ymweliadau fel hyn yn bwysig oherwydd eu bod yn ein helpu i ddysgu beth sy'n gweithio'n dda, ble mae heriau'n parhau, a pha gymorth ychwanegol sydd ei angen ar rieni a phlant.

Diolch i'r staff am y gofal eithriadol rydych chi'n ei ddarparu i blant a theuluoedd ledled Cymru bob dydd. 💙

----------------------

It was clear from the moment that we arrived that everything had been designed with children and young people in mind. Alongside meeting the incredible Noah's Ark and Sparkle teams, we saw how colourful artwork, play spaces, therapy dogs and therapy music can help make difficult experiences a little easier for young patients.

Visits like these matter because they help us learn about what's working well, where challenges remain, and what additional support parents and children need.

Thank you to the staff for the extraordinary care you provide to children and families across Wales every single day.💙

𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 / 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐜𝐲𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐝 𝐲𝐫 𝐲𝐬𝐠𝐨𝐥 𝐲𝐧 𝐛𝐰𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐠!

Gall yr ysgol fod yn un o'r ychydig elfennau o sefydlogrwydd ym mywyd plentyn sy'n profi digartrefedd. Mae hyn yn golygu y gall taith gymhleth i'r ysgol effeithio ar eu presenoldeb, lles, cyfeillgarwch ac addysg.

Dylem fod yn gwneud popeth o fewn ein gallu i gael gwared o rhwystrau i addysg, yn hytrach nag ychwanegu atynt. 💛

School can be one of the few sources of stability in a child's life when they're experiencing homelessness. Meaning that a complicated journey to school can affect their attendance, wellbeing, friendships and learning.

We should be doing all we can to remove barriers to education, not adding to them. 💛

I think I may have found my new official portrait! 🎨😊

Diolch i Ysgol Gymunedol Twynyrodyn am y croeso cynnes; roedd gan y plant ddealltwriaeth o'r CCUHP ac fe wnes i fwynhau'r sesiwn holi ac ateb yn fawr iawn! Cefais gwestiynau mor feddylgar. Roedd hi hefyd yn wych cael taith o amgylch cyfleusterau dysgu awyr-agored yr ysgol a chyfle i weld y portread hyfryd o'm hunain yr oedd plant y Meithrin a'r Dosbarth Derbyn wedi'i greu!

Thank you Twynyrodyn Community School for such a warm welcome, the children had an impressive knowledge of the UNCRC and I thoroughly enjoyed the Q&A! I was asked such thoughtful questions. It was also wonderful to have a tour of the schools outdoor learning provision and a chance to see the wonderful portrait Nursery and Reception children had made of me!

🗣𝐍𝐢 𝐝𝐝𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐢 𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐲𝐝 𝐚 𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲𝐧 𝐠𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐞𝐮 𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐮 𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢. // 𝐀 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝'𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞.

Ni ddylai man geni plentyn bennu ei gyfle i fyw bywyd iach. Ac eto, i ormod o blant yng Nghymru - yn enwedig y rhai yn ein cymunedau mwyaf difreintiedig - dyna yw'r realiti.

Mae canfyddiadau'r adroddiad yn adlewyrchu'r hyn y mae plant a phobl ifanc wedi'i ddweud wrthym dro ar ôl tro: bod cymorth yn aml yn dod yn rhy hwyr, bod cael mynediad at wasanaethau fel gofal iechyd meddwl a gofal deintyddol yn gallu bod yn anodd, ac nad yw'r dewis iach bob amser yn ddewis hawdd.

Where a child grows up should not determine their chance of living a healthy life. Yet for too many children in Wales, particularly those in our most deprived communities, that's the reality.

The findings in the report echo what children and young people have consistently told us - that support often comes too late, that access to services such as mental health and dental care can be difficult, and that healthy choices are not always the easiest choices.

The health of children in Wales is shocking and outcomes for young people are worsening, doctors say.
