It’s time to saddle up for the Swanage Carnival Best Dressed Window Competition!

We can’t wait to see the amazing displays around town as Swanage transforms into a Wacky Western in Carnival Canyon this summer. Think cowboy hats, saloons, cacti, horses, sheriffs, glitter, denim and all things wonderfully wild west! 🐴⭐

Whether you go full cowboy chaos or add a subtle western twist, we’d love to see our local businesses getting involved and bringing the Carnival spirit to the high street once again.

🚨 CARNIVAL’S MOST WANTED 🚨

Darren Strong – chief organiser of the Wheelbarrow Race.

If you see him in the weeks before Carnival… don’t be fooled. He looks calm. He is not calm. He’s mentally running 100 wheelbarrows through Swanage while everyone else is asking “what could possibly go wrong?”

He’s the one making sure chaos is at least slightly controlled (key word: slightly).

👏 If you spot him, wish him luck… he’ll need it!

🎨 Calling all local artists! 🎨

It’s that time of year again where we begin preparing for the Swanage Carnival Art Auction — now returning for its third year!

The Art Auction was introduced to give talented local artists the opportunity to showcase their work, whilst also helping to raise money for good causes through Swanage Carnival.

Whether you paint, draw, photograph, sculpt or create something completely unique, we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to donate a piece of artwork to this year’s event.

Last year’s auction was a fantastic celebration of local creativity and community spirit, and we can’t wait to see what this year brings!
