And that’s a wrap on the Moira Canal Festival 2026 🥹

What a weekend…

We didn’t let the odd shower rain on our parade, and we really hope everyone who came along had a fantastic time with us.

A huge thank you again to our wonderful committee, our volunteers, traders, caterers, morris dancers, entertainment, local bands, sponsors, and of course every single person who came and visited us over the weekend.

So much work, time and effort goes into making this festival happen, and it really does take all of those people to bring it to life.

The committee will now be taking a very well deserved break over the summer, and we’ll be back in the autumn with a confirmed date for 2027 and the start of preparations all over again.

He’s just finished his final set and what a brilliant way to round off the weekend.

From the first performance to the last, Mike brought so much energy, entertainment and proper feel-good atmosphere to the festival, and we’ve loved having him with us.

A big congratulations to our Best Dressed Stall winner – Nosey & Dims Canal Art 🎉

New to the festival this year and already making a brilliant impression, their stall was a real standout across the weekend.

Beautiful traditional hand painted canal art, plenty of character, and a display that completely caught people’s eye from the moment they arrived.

Very well deserved. Well done to Nosey & Dims Canal Art 👏

A little festival favourite 💛

When they’re not performing in the main arena, you’ll often find the Morris dancers bringing plenty of noise, colour and energy to the courtyard too.

You can catch them in the main arena at 1pm.

Definitely worth stopping for if you spot them.

And we’re doing it all over again.

If you didn’t – this is your last chance to come and enjoy the Moira Canal Festival 2026 💚

We’ve got another brilliant day ahead with live entertainment, demonstrations, Morris dancers, stalls, great food and drink, the famous Ashby Canal duck race and plenty more going on across the site.

And yes… today’s BBMF flypast is set to feature a Spitfire ✈️
One of those proper stop-what-you’re-doing and look up moments.

So if you’re thinking about coming down, do it.
Come and make the most of the final day.

The stalls are ready, the caterers are cooking, the site is buzzing and it’s all starting to come to life here at Moira.

If you’re heading down today, you’ve got a brilliant day ahead of you with live entertainment, demonstrations, Morris dancers, the famous Ashby Canal duck race and plenty more to enjoy.

Travel safely, come hungry, bring your camera and we’ll see you soon.
