On our 19th year, we are partnering with charity Music for All.

Maverick is an independent festival that champions grassroots artists and platforms emerging talent. With increasing pressures on the grassroots music industry and a steady decline in funding to the arts, we recognise the importance of addressing inequalities in access to music, and are partnering with Music For All to support their efforts to improve access to music-making through grants, instrument and equipment donations and free workshops.

Took a trip to Cajun country to rub shoulders with our wonderful sponsors at Lafayette Travel and meet some music royalty in the shape of legendary accordion player and maker, MARC SAVOY and his son the Grammy winning producer and fiddle player JOEL SAVOY. Also tracked down accordion wizard STEVE RILEY down at the Dewey Balfa music camp and persuaded him to come to Maverick next year!
