So 21 days after leaving Minehead, I finally arrived at the finish line in Poole yesterday afternoon. It has been a long and testing 3 weeks but I finally made it in one piece. I've had all kinds of weather and challenges thrown at me and there were certainly times I wanted to quit but my motivation and reason for this challenge hasn't left me and I simply had to get to the finish.

I would never have got there however without the help and support of those around me. There is a massive list of people who have supported this challenge in all sorts of ways and to you I am eternally grateful. I can't list you all on here as there are so many but you know who you are and you're all amazing!

Thank you all for following me on my journey, it's been great to share it with you.

Now to make plans for the next one!

Welcome to Dorset! Where the mud is proper brown and sticky, none of that red rubbish they have in Devon!

Finally made it to Dorset after a long day of big hills and muddy tracks. The last of the big Devon hills gave way to some very wet and muddy trails on the Axminster Undercliff on what can only be described as Endor (Google it). It was beautiful for the first mile but for the remaining 7 I thought I was never getting out!

We're staying at the glorious Wood Farm Caravan Park tonight which is right on the path. Meaning an early getaway onto Portland and Weymouth tomorrow! I promise I will do some raffle draws tonight, I know I'm terrible!

From the depressingly wet and and windy seafronts of Paignton and Torquay to the depths of the Amazon Basin, today has had it all. But mostly it's been wet, windy, cold and muddy! The only bit of today that I actually enjoyed was getting slightly lost and stumbling into what can only be described as South American rainforest. The only thing missing was a lost tribe.

My Mum felt so sorry for me being wet and miserable that she has paid for me to stay in a proper bed tonight, bliss! Hopefully tomorrow the sun will be shining and I'll wake up all energised for the last day in Devon, which means tomorrow night I'll be in Dorset!

Post run rehydration at its finest at the Berry Head Hotel, Brixham. Just had my first swim of the challenge in the pool and a whirlpool bath too, they couldn't stretch to a bed but letting me camp in the beautiful grounds is great! It was a long hot run today with a couple of tough hills towards the end but I enjoyed it all the same and got in another ferry crossing at Dartmouth.

As you can see from the view, tomorrow involves running through Paignton and Torquay to Exmouth, oh the joy 🙄. Oh and it's peak holiday season too, I'll just have to play 'Count the String Vests'

Raffle to follow!

Not far to go now, only 168 miles if you believe this sign! Although it takes a lot for me to trust a sign after the last two weeks! 6 days to go and I'm motoring along in Devon, past through Salcombe today and round onto Slapton Sands. It won't be long now until I'm back in Dorset!

Don't forget you can join me for the Final 5k on Sunday from the Bankes Arms in Studland or for the Afterparty at Brewhouse and Kitchen Poole or both! You could even join me for the whole day if you wanted. Can you tell I'm getting lonely.

The signal is terrible where we're staying tonight so it'll be a double draw on the raffle tomorrow night, fingers crossed from Brixham.

Apologies for the lack of updates over the last few days. It's been particularly cold and wet and posting on Facebook has been the last thing on my mind. Many thanks to the Thomas family for drying me out and for giving me somewhere warm to sleep last night it's very much appreciated.
Today has been a much better day, I have completed more miles than I had planned to and made it to the River Avon and Burgh Island. My feet, especially my heels still aren't feeling amazing but the sun was shining and it's been a positive day. I've been on my fourth ferry of the trip, probably the smallest too and I've also had to wade across a river. All in all a very productive day and a triple raffle to follow later!
