The last look back of the week takes us to Thursday night in Tankerness, where Duncan Chisholm; Rebecca Hill and Charlie Stewart; Meallan; and Jeana Leslie and John Lowrie took to the stage.

We’re looking for new trustees to join our board, as well as people interested in joining our organising committee ahead of the 2027 event.

Whether you have experience in governance, marketing, production, programming, education or something else you think could be useful, we’d love to hear from you.

The Fiddlers' Rally is a staple in the Orkney Folk Festival calendar, having featured in our programme since the first event.

As usual, the West Mainland Strathspey and Reel Society, Orkney Strathspey & Reel Society and Orkney accordion & fiddle club joined forces this year to celebrate traditional tunes.

Fergal Scahill Music joined our workshop line up this year, teaching the ornamentation and rhythmic feel central to traditional Irish fiddling.
