Become a Lifeguard at Millfield!

Join our National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) Course this May and earn a recognised qualification + UCAS points!

✅ Pool rescue
✅ First aid & CPR
✅ Emergency response
✅ AED & spinal injury training

Prerequisites:
🛟 Ages 16+
🛟 Swim 50m in under 60 seconds
🛟 Swim 100m continuously (on front then on back)
🛟 Tread water for a minimum of 30 seconds
🛟 Surface dive to the bottom of the pool
🛟 Climb out of the pool unaided

🌊 February Half-Term Swim Lessons – Book Now! 🏊‍♂️

Looking to boost your child’s confidence in the water this February half term? Millfield Swim School is running extra swimming lessons on Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 February, with 25‑minute sessions running from 5pm–9pm.

We’re offering classes from Ducklings right through to Stage 10.
✨ Private lessons are also available via enquiry if you'd like a more personalised session.

MYTH: 'My child can swim 25 metres, so they don't need any more lessons.' 🤷

FACT: Swimming 25m is a good start, but it's not the end of a child's journey to being safe in the water. They should be able to swim at least 100 metres with ease and without stopping. ✅

Last week, Millfield Swim School focussed on water safety as part of Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK Drowning Prevention week.🛟

Our swimmers learnt how to stay safe in and around water, practising vital skills that could help save lives.
