A reminder that this Friday, 8th May, is Film Night at Areley Kings Village Hall. 'The Choral' written by Alan Bennett with his usual droll sense of humour, and starring a host of British actors including: Ralph Fiennes, Simon Russell Beale and Mark Addy. A humorous but poignant story following the local choral society of a fictional Yorkshire town as they try to perform their regular annual music festival. It's the usual format: Doors open at 6.30, film starts at 7 pm, admission £5.00, pay on the door. Licenced bar and ice-creams.

This month's film at Areley Kings Village Hall is: DOWNTON ABBEY - The Grand Finale, Friday 17th April. Tickets are still just £5.00, pay on the door, and there's the usual, very reasonably priced, bar and ice-creams. Doors open at 6.30 and the film starts at 7 pm and it's likely to be popular so don't be late!

The true story (or is it) of Raynor and Moth Winn, portrayed by Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs, who embark on a 630 mile trek along the South West Coast Path after losing their home and facing Moth’s terminal illness.

Areley Kings Village Hall is pleased to announce that the venue has been chosen to host the prestigious BBC Radio 4's flagship political discussion programme ‘Any Questions’ The event will be held on the 19th December 2025 and will be hosted as usual by Alex Forsyth.
The programme was first broadcast in October 1948 and visits a different part of the UK every week with a panel of four speakers who answer questions from the audience. providing people with the opportunity to challenge politicians, policy makers, writers, and thinkers.
The panel is different each week and is broadcast LIVE on Radio 4 straight after the 8.00pm news bulletin. It's your chance to put your question to the panel.
Doors open at 6.30pm and close at 7.15pm. The programme will be broadcast live from 8-9pm. Recording and photography during the broadcast is not permitted.
There will be question cards available for you to complete on arrival.
Entry is free, by ticket only. Please note there will be security checks on admittance to the venue. Tickets are available from www.Eventbrite.co.uk

This Friday, December 12th is film night at the hall with Paddington in Peru! Our lovable chum travels off through darkest Peru to visit his Aunt Lucy. It's a lovely way to start Christmas: meet friends, watch a film, enjoy a free mince pie and glass of mulled wine!
Usual format: tickets £5.00, doors open 6.30, film at 7pm with ice creams, licenced bar and a warm welcome.
