RAM RUN – RACE DAY INSTRUCTIONS (Saturday 26th June 2021)
After a long time out, we can’t wait to welcome you along on Saturday. Here’s some important information for the day. Please ensure you read through before setting off to the venue.
1. If you or anyone in your household has symptoms of covid, please do not travel.
2. Address for the site is: The Heart of England Conference Centre, Meriden Road, Fillongley, CV7 8DX.
3. Before you leave home, ensure you have ‘checked in’ online at www.trumin.com, and either saved a screenshot of your entry, or print it out. By attending the event, we take this as consent that you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions of taking part.
4. Make a note of your start time which you will have chosen upon signing up.
5. When you pull into the venue, turn right and you’ll see a large wooden archway in front of you. If you drive through and you’ll be parked up. There is no parking fee.
6. Please aim to arrive to the site 45 minutes before your start time.
7. Go to the registration area 30 minutes before your start time to check in. Have your phone or print out with you so we can register you in. If everyone sticks to 30 mins before, this will enable a steady flow to the area and will enable social distancing to take place.
8. There will be no bag drop, so please keep your belongings in your car. We can take care of your keys at registration in the key drop box.
9. As this is an outdoor event, the wearing of face masks is not required, but if it makes you more comfortable to wear one, then that is up to you.
10. There will be hand sanitizer on site, but please bring your own if you have some.
11. In accordance with government guidelines, we will be observing 2m social distancing around the site on the day.
12. There will be no warm-ups before each heat, so before your run, have a stretch and limber up prior to entering the start area.
13. There will be a drink stop at the 5km mark on the course. There shouldn’t be a need for you to bring extra drinks to carry around with you.
14. You will get wet and muddy on the course, so remember to bring some spare shoes, clothes and a bag to put your dirty clothes in.
15. There are no showers on site, but there are some cold rinse areas to clean off your hands etc. Bring hand wipes etc if you want more of a clean up.
16. There will be a catering van on site. As we’re in the middle of a field, contactless payments may not be available, so bring cash to pay for your hot/cold drinks and food.
17. There will also be a stand selling Ram Run Tshirts. This will be a cash payment only stand. Children’s tshirts are priced at £10 each. Adult TShirts are £15 each or 3 for £30. Please email [email protected] by 6pm on Friday 25th June if you want to pre-order any so we can reserve them for you.
18. Professional photographers will be on site and the images they take will be available to download free of charge after the event from the Epic Action Imagery website.
19. Upon leaving the site, please take any litter home with you.
This is the first Ram Run event for a few years, and now as a ‘wild run’ instead of an ‘obstacle race’, we’d like to thank you for signing up and we hope you enjoy the course.
