As campers start arriving, Lauren and her partner K**e will be one of the friendly faces helping everyone get settled in and feel at home.

With their trusty clipboard in hand, sheโ€™ll be guiding tents, caravans and motorhomes to their camping spots, helping everyone get parked up and pointing you in the right direction if youโ€™re not quite sure where to go.

Itโ€™s all about making sure everyone has a smooth arrival and a great start to their weekend with us.

And, of course, keeping everyone safely out of the way of the steam enginesโ€ฆ because explaining to a steam roller why it needs to reverse isnโ€™t part of Laurenโ€™s job description! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿš‚

We managed to corner Assistant Organiser Paul for another quick update from Little Intall Fields.

With the rally now just DAYS away, the number of steam engines is increasing, the fencing is spreading, cables are multiplying and Paul is still trying to work out what all those cables actually do! ๐Ÿคฃ

Thereโ€™s plenty happening behind the scenes and, despite appearances, there is apparently a plan.

Weโ€™re less than 200 followers away from hitting 4,000โ€ฆ and frankly, this is getting far too close for comfort! ๐Ÿ˜‚

So we are officially launching Operation: Get Us To 4,000 Before Saturday.

โ˜‘๏ธ Speakers up on the tower โ€” now we just hope Paul remembers how to wire them upโ€ฆ otherwise things could get SHOCKING! โšก๐Ÿคฃ
โ˜‘๏ธ Most of the Fun Fair arrived, including the Twister ๐ŸŽก
โ˜‘๏ธ Main Pay Gate marquee up
โ˜‘๏ธ Rally Control marquee up โ€” exhibitors can now collect their display numbers
โ˜‘๏ธ Helpers and traders arriving from all directions
โ˜‘๏ธ First organ ๐ŸŽน, tractors ๐Ÿšœ and classic caravan arrived

And still to doโ€ฆ

โ˜ Put up approximately another 47 things
โ˜ Find where we put the things we put somewhere safe
โ˜ Work out what the things on the list actually are
โ˜ Wire up the speakers withouti electrocuting Paul โšก
โ˜ Drink more tea โ€” this one is non-negotiable โ˜•
โ˜ Stop saying โ€œweโ€™ve got loads of timeโ€

Itโ€™s definitely starting to look like a steam rally now.
