THAT time of the year is coming up again soon.

Yes! It's the Wolviston Village Summer Fayre. Taking place on 4th July, we are hoping that this year will be even bigger and better than last year which was a great success!

You may have already had this flyer drop through your letterbox but just to reiterate, we will be out and about in the village shortly with the cart collecting for the Raffle and Tombola! Your generosity in past years has amazed us and we hope we can rely on you all once again!

Donations can also be dropped in at Welcome Wednesday (10am - 12noon every second Wednesday. The next upcoming events are 10th and 24th June. Come along, leave your donation and enjoy a free cuppa and a scone!

Also, we look forward to seeing you on the big day!

All quiet in the office this evening after this mornings Wednesday Welcome! Pepsi (Head of Security) was aided by Bettie and Bertie who were sworn in as Deputies (Deputy Dawg) for the day! They made a few ejections, only the crows and pigeons on the field but that seems to have been enough to tire them out! Good boy and girls!

Apologies to anyone who read the last post which should have been about mystery books at Wolviston Village fayre 4th July 12 till 4 and in some cases was blank. DOH!
Come along and enjoy our plant stall. Indoor and outdoor plants at great prices.

We sold out at our Christmas fayre so we are going again. This time adding children's books into the mix.
If you have any you would like to donate get in touch or drop into the Wednesday Welcome in the hall.

Don't forget, tomorrow is Wednesday Welcome between 10am and 12.30pm. Drop in for a free drink and a snack, or as Wurzel Gummidge used to say "A cup of tea and a slice of cake!" If you haven't been before why not give it a try, come along and meet the regulars and maybe beat Ann (the current champion) at Dominoes.

A reminder that the Summer Fayre is coming up on 4th July and we are now accepting donations for the bottle raffle, raffle and tombola. In addition if you have any unwanted wrapping paper, jars or tin cans they will also be gratefully accepted!

Fantastic day at our Wednesday Welcome today, great to see so many faces old and new! If you want to drop in for a cuppa, a chat, a snack and maybe a game of dominoes, our next one is on April 1st! (no, really, it is!) Everything is free all we ask for is a small donation to cover running costs!

BTW, Pepsi, the Head of Security was out standing in her own field today!

Don't forget, tomorrow is our Wednesday Welcome Day! Drop in for a warm welcome, a cuppa, a snack and a chat with friends! If you have never been before you will get a warm welcome and will soon have many new friends!

A lot of our snacks are Gluten free and we have decaffinated tea and coffee so there is something for eveyone!

Entry is free and all we ask for is a small donation to cover running costs!

Volunteers Event - Sunday March 8th - 12 noon until 4pm in Wolviston Community centre

Wolviston Summer Fayre is coming up on Saturday July 4th and is a great opportunity for a family day out.

The Fayre is run by volunteers to bring the community together and to raise funds to continue activities for the local community and maintain and improve the centre. Volunteers are needed to help this run smoothly

Would you like to connect with other people in the community?
How about a look behind the scenes and a sneak peek at what will be happening this year?
Do you think you might like to offer some time to get involved?
Do you have ideas that could make this the best event it can be?
Have you been involved in the past and would like to return, or just find out more and share your ideas?
Are you already offering your time?
Would you just like to find out a bit more?
Pop along to Wolviston Community Centre on Sunday 8th March from noon until 4pm!

Feel free to bring the family and friends, everyone is welcome
You will be able to look at the plans, see what will be on offer, meet people already involved and have a cup of tea and a slice of cake with us.

No obligation to commit to helping but you would be very welcome.

If you already have books, jigsaws, tombola or raffle prizes to donate do bring them along.
