Rising Stars enhances the skills, confidence and aspirations of children and young people in Stockport and Greater Manchester through music, art, media and events. Our aim is to
• Develop the creative skills of young people through music, filming and events.
• Encourage participation in music and the arts amongst young people in the region.
• Cultivate the arts of music and films, particularly am

ongst young people, and to encourage public appreciation of these arts.
• Engage and inspire young people living in disadvantaged communities by providing positive, creative activities and regular opportunities for young people to volunteer and showcase their talent to friends and family.

Easter half-term holiday activities for young people and families living Adswood, Bridgehall and Shaw Heath area at Kimberley Street Day Centre.

Activities included football, archery, wall climbing, DJ workshop, arts and craft with free fish and chips for all the young people.

A collaboration between Rising Stars and R-Time supported using funding from Youth Music, National Lottery, and Stockport Council.

🚨 PROJECT LAUNCH 🚨

We’re excited to introduce Stockport Cultural Trailblazers 🎶✨

A five-month training and mentoring programme giving young people aged 18–24 the chance to learn the ins and outs of event management — from planning and budgeting to booking artists, marketing, and running live shows.

Participants will gain real-world experience, connect with industry professionals, and deliver their own event with a £1,500 budget in 2026 💥
