What a day. What a field. What a lot of weather. ❄️🌧️💕

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who ran the Stamford Striders St Valentine’s 30K last Sunday. Snow, sleet and freezing temperatures made it a proper adventure, but the atmosphere out on the course was incredible from start to finish.

Special shout-out to our amazing marshals and volunteers who stood out there for hours keeping spirits high and runners moving — you were absolute stars ⭐

Stamford Striders Valentines 30K Stamford Striders St Valentine’s 30K Grit, Guts & determination
The 30K served up a challenging course and just to make it even more memorable, the sleet and rain made conditions even tougher!

A huge well done to Mark Sands, who battled the elements to finish 1st in his age category a fantastic achievement 👏

Emmajean, no stranger to the 30K distance, once again showed her experience and determination, braving the tough weather like a pro.

Massive kudos to Sophie and Avril, who ran together and completed their longest distance and in some of the worst conditions imaginable! Absolutely amazing ladies 💪🌧️

A huge thanks to Stamford Striders for another great event, and special appreciation to all the marshals who stood out in awful weather, encouraging us every step of the way.
What a day. What a team. What an effort from everyone involved! 🏅

Good luck to hundreds of runners taking part in the 32nd Stamford Striders Valentines 30K from 11am!
It starts and ends at Stamford Welland Academy and has rolling road closures including Churchill Road, Little Casterton Road, Salters Lane, Tollbar, Ryhall Road in Casterton, B1176 towards Little Bytham, Aunby and back round via Pickworth. Listen out for updates on Rutland & Stamford Sound
