We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Holstein UK to Bingley Hall this weekend and what a fantastic way to showcase the dedication, skill and passion of young breeders and handlers from across the country with families coming together to support and celebrate the next generation of British farming.

From the careful preparation of the cattle to the confidence and expertise shown in the ring, there’s been so much to admire. And, of course, some lovely moments of affection between the young handlers and their animals along the way! 🐮❤️

Events like this are a wonderful reminder of the importance of passing on farming knowledge, traditions and skills to the next generation.

🎸 SAME HALL, DIFFERENT GENERATIONS! 🐄

45 years apart – and what a difference!

On 30th October 1981, legendary Canadian rock band Rush took to the stage at Bingley Hall, Stafford, as part of their Exit Stage Left Tour.

The hall was packed with music fans, and one concertgoer remembers the atmosphere vividly:

🎤 “Rush came on with 2112 and the place just went ballistic. When they got to the second song, Freewill, it felt like the roof was going to come off the venue!”

Fast forward 45 years, and today that very same hall is buzzing with activity once again – but this time it's cattle taking centre stage at the All Breeds All Britain Calf Show! 🐄

From legendary rock concerts to showcasing some of the finest cattle in the country, Bingley Hall has certainly seen some changes over the decades – but one thing remains the same: it's still a place that brings people together.

📸 Then: Rush in concert – 30th October 1981.

📸 Now: The All Britain All Breeds Calf Show – 31st October 2026.

💚 Were you at the Rush concert in 1981? Or do you remember any of the other legendary bands who performed at Bingley Hall?

We'd love to hear your memories in the comments! 👇
