Sands: International Film Festival of St Andrews 2026 was a great success, marking its milestone fifth edition with world-renowned guests including Laura Mulvey, Charlie Kaufman, Gary Clark and Craig Armstrong.

The three-day festival in April saw the Byre and other venues throughout St Andrews abuzz with cinephiles, experts and stars, all coming together to celebrate their love of film.

But Sands isn’t just for April. Our Sands Selection screenings during the year keep that buzz going, pairing great films with great discussion.

Join us this month for a special screening of Everybody to Kenmure Street (12A), followed by a post-show discussion with Director Felipe Bustos Sierra and Tabassum Niamat, who features in the film.

This crucial, timely film reflects the bold, distinctive voice of Sands.

Our rucksacks and lanyards have been on their travels, with pitstops in Èze in the south of France, Dubrovnik in Croatia and even at the Festival de Cannes, courtesy of journalist and Sands moderator Wendy Mitchell.

Shout-out to our brilliant designer Emma Quinn Design.
