We have been running, continuously (other than during Covid), since May 1979. Even then we continued over the internet thanks to Zoom sessions.

Currently we run monthly on the first Wednesday at the South Holland Centre in Spalding Market Place at 8.00pm. Spalding folk club has been running continuously since 1979 - and a couple of the original members are still with us. We aim to have a good time, encourage local performers and to present the best professional guests that we can afford. Just when you think a folk club night couldn't get any better - well it did tonight at Spalding Folk Club. We had the superb We Mavericks from Australia - Aussie, Lindsay and New Zealander, Victoria - excellent musicians and lovely voices that blended in sweet harmonies. Some songs were liltingly gentle and others were delivered with such energy - it was obvious from the floor that they had such empathy and joy in their music. The audience fed off this energy and enthusiastically joined in the choruses. Thanks to all who turned up to make this such a great evening.

Thank you Rick Huddleston for a super night at Spalding Folk Club. All original songs from this prolific songwriter, great guitar accompaniment and an easy manner and rapport with the audience. The repertoire was nicely mixed both in pace and content but all the time edgy, challenging the status quo and thought-provoking. Added to that many had choruses that had the audience eagerly joining in. It's great to know that we have such talent here in Lincolnshire.
