It's been a fantastic weekend, all made possible because of all of the sailors, volunteers and supporters of this unique event. Thank you for all of your efforts bit on and off the water.

We hope to see you next year on 11th and 12th September 2027. Once the waters have calmed down from this year, we'll let you when and how you can book your spot.

Until then, keep sailing.

We're pleased to announce that our catering teams are all raring to go and ready to serve up a yummy range of food throughout the weekend...

Local favourites 600 degrees will be serving authentic Neapolitan pizza on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Dude Food Guys (https://www.facebook.com/groups/standupforsouthport/permalink/26725945350409942/) will also be on hand on Saturday afternoon and into the evening serving a mouthwatering range of delights. They'll be back on Sunday afternoon too.

Our own galley will be rustling up teas, coffees, breakfast barms, sandwiches, soup and wonderful home made cakes. They'll be open from Saturday morning right through until Sunday afternoon.

And last but by no means least, the bar will be serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments.

One of the questions we've been asked a lot in recent days is; do we need to register our team members? The short answer is no you don't. We only need to know the name of the team captain and deputy (or deputies if you have more than one). These named people will be our main points of contact. Requests for this information have already been sent out and should have been returned but you can clarify the details with the Information Centre when you arrive.

As good practice each team captain should keep a list of their team members (sailors and support crew) and their emergency contact details.

The only time you need to register sailors names with the Information Centre is for the ladies race for the Heineken Cup (refer to the Sailing Instructions for further information and the race noticeboards on the clubhouse for updates and any further instructions).

Don't forget there will be a captains briefing in the marquee at 10:30 on Saturday 12th September.

Parking charges have been finalised for this years WLYC 24 Hour Race. Parking will be available on the Marine Drive car park which will be managed by our dedicated team of parking stewards. There will be spaces for towing vehicles (to keep the dinghy park clear of vehicles) with the remainder of the spaces available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Charges for the weekend are £15 for cars and £40 for large vehicles (this includes campervans). We will not be taking pre-bookings and payment can be made by debit/credit card when you arrive.

With just 4 weeks (yes you did read that correctly) to go until the WLYC 24 Hour Race you're probably thinking about what to bring - other that your boat, sailors and lots and lots of energy that is.

There are a number of 3x3 metre pitches along the waterfront to set up your team base. These are on a first come first served basis. Please do be friendly to each other to ensure we can all fit in as we're all here to enjoy the weekend as a sailing community.

To help keep the site safe and to make sure there is enough room for everyone, the dinghy park will be VEHICLE FREE this year. Once you've unloaded your boat and equipment you will be asked to move your vehicle to the main car park on MARINE DRIVE. A one-way system will be in operation and you will be issued a parking permit for your towing vehicle.

Details of general car parking will follow in due course.
