Im very excited to be part of a small team representing Eva's Angels at the Brighton Marathon this coming weekend! I'm a little behind on the fundraising for this one 😬 I know times are tough for everyone at the mo, but please have a read about this cause which I am honoured to continue to represent.
Last time I ran for Eva's Angels, this time last year, it was a 50 mile jaunt round the Kent coast... Long, hilly and pretty slow going.
In contrast, I'm really pushing myself to run fast at this one... I'm targeting a time of 2 hours 59 minutes which, if I'm honest is way out of my comfort zone. My current marathon best time is 3 hours 24 minutes, so I am trying to run each of the 26 miles about a minute quicker than my previous best. It's gonna suck.
BUT training has gone well. I ran a half marathon last weekend in horrendously windy conditions in just over 1:29... So if the weather gods are kind, I'm feeling good about giving it a go.
Thanks for reading ❤️
