Welcome to Porters Predictions, a group designed for those who want to put their money where their mouths are prior to a ball being kicked. The idea is simple, everyone bets £10 at the beginning of the season, makes their predictions for the coming seasons for winning, losing and some other spots in the English & Scottish leagues and then sits back and watches how near of far they were from being
right. When applying, a form will be provided for all the predictions you have to make. All forms and money will need to be with Mr Porter before the opening day of the Football League. Come the end of the season, cash prizes will go to the top three players, being split as such:
1st - 50% of the pot
2nd - 25% of the pot
3rd - 15% of the pot
FC Wellington Football Club will retain the final 10% and put it towards the end of season BBQ & Awards at the Wellington Pub. Points System:
10 points for a correct prediction
-1 point for every position off you are
Example:
So for this season if you had chosen Chelsea to win the Premier League you would have gained 10 points. On the other side of things, if your team doesn’t finish in the correct place you predicted then you will lose points. Points lost are determined on how many places out your prediction was. So for this season if you had said Saints to finish bottom and they finish in the top ten then you will be losing over ten points. One point for every place below or above that you stated. Mr Porter will be holding all the forms and money until the end of the season.
