BUG HOME BUILDERS WANTED.
3pm, 25th October.
A message from friends of Riverside Park.
We have some great news. Our grant application to the council has been successful! This means that we can hire a professional ecologist to carry out a detailed survey of the old pitch & putt course north of Woodmill lane.
The area needs a management plan but before that we need a much better understanding of what is there.
To complement this we will also be organising a community survey event, probably some time in May.
Building bug homes.
We also received some money to create homes for bees, butterflies, moths, and generally any insects that want to wander in, to help increase the biodiversity of the park. We are doing this as a community event. So we need your help.
