We are thrilled to announce that Itchen Dance Festival is now a full BIFF member!

Itchen Dance Festival is a community festival for dancers and dance schools with both open and novice sections situated in Eastern Southampton, Hampshire.

The festival was born in September 2023 after founder, Sammy Pickard struggled to find smaller, preparatory festivals for her own students – both newer, younger students who want to experience festivals for the first time and older, more experienced dancers looking for a fun, friendly festival environment.

The festival currently runs two weekend events per year in March and in September, with numbers increasing with each event.

Our partnership will ensure a fair festival for all, at both novice and open levels, with fair and equal marking by all adjudicators following the BIFF mark scheme.

We are delighted and proud of the support from our dancers, dance parents, adjudicators and BIFF for helping to shape our festival over our first few years.

This March we will be welcoming the fabulous Jill Redford to IDF.

Jill has many years of experience in adjudicating festivals. She is delighted to be joining us for our first Novice only event.

We know you will all have a very enjoyable day performing for her.
