Our hugely popular display is back again and will feature two displays - the first ideal for younger children with a reduced level of noise, followed by another display later in the evening.

All proceeds will go to the Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society's Rural Charity which ensures the showground can continue as a vital part of the community, along with allowing the society to make donations throughout the year to various groups and organisations.

We know that the cost of a family day or night out can quickly add up, so we have made some important changes to this year’s Bonfire and Fireworks event at the West Mid Showground.

For 2026, entry for children under 16 is FREE and adult tickets are just £15!

🎶 Shrewsbury Folk Festival returns to the West Mid Showground today!

From now through to Bank Holiday Monday, the Showground will be filled with live music, dancing, workshops and activities as we welcome festivalgoers from across the country.

There are still day tickets available, so if you have not made plans for the Bank Holiday weekend, there is still time to join the fun!

The showground is a hive of activity as Shrewsbury Folk Festival takes shape, so there will be no car boot sale this week, or next week during the festival itself!

But don't worry, the car boot sale will be back on Sunday 6th September.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported last Sunday’s special Car Boot Sale in memory of Jan Robey.

It was a fantastic morning at West Mid Showground, with more than 185 sellers and hundreds of buyers coming along and helping to raise an incredible £1,285 for Severn Hospice

We’re particularly grateful to everyone who generously donated over and above what was expected. Your kindness helped make the total even more special and was a wonderful tribute to Jan.

Our Car Boot team would like to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every person who came along, donated and supported the day.
