What if your next outdoor adventure was closer than you thought? 🚆🥾🌿
I was incredibly privileged to be invited to work with BLACKS and Ordnance Survey on their brilliant new 90 Minutes to Nature campaign — exploring just how many walking routes, wild-swimming spots and campsites can be reached within 90 minutes of the UK’s towns and cities.
For our Peak District adventure, we caught the train from Sheffield to Bamford — a journey of just 15 minutes — and stepped straight from the station onto an incredible 11km hike to Bamford Edge.
No car. No epic cross-country journey. Just boots on, backpack packed and adventure right from the platform 🙌
Our route took us up Bamford Clough, the steepest tarmac path in the UK. It was a seriously spicy climb that got the legs and lungs working, but everyone absolutely smashed it! 🔥
The reward? Stunning panoramic views from Bamford Edge across Ladybower Reservoir and the surrounding Peak District hills. Proof that you don’t always need to travel far to find big landscapes, physical challenges and that unbeatable feeling of being properly immersed in nature.
It was such a privilege to work alongside two brilliant outdoor brands on a campaign encouraging more people to discover the adventures waiting close to home 💛
Search “Blacks 90 Minutes to Nature” to explore the interactive map and discover the walking routes, wild-swimming spots and campsites within reach of your nearest town or city.
