What if your next outdoor adventure was closer than you thought? 🚆🥾🌿

I was incredibly privileged to be invited to work with BLACKS and Ordnance Survey on their brilliant new 90 Minutes to Nature campaign — exploring just how many walking routes, wild-swimming spots and campsites can be reached within 90 minutes of the UK’s towns and cities.

For our Peak District adventure, we caught the train from Sheffield to Bamford — a journey of just 15 minutes — and stepped straight from the station onto an incredible 11km hike to Bamford Edge.

No car. No epic cross-country journey. Just boots on, backpack packed and adventure right from the platform 🙌

Our route took us up Bamford Clough, the steepest tarmac path in the UK. It was a seriously spicy climb that got the legs and lungs working, but everyone absolutely smashed it! 🔥

The reward? Stunning panoramic views from Bamford Edge across Ladybower Reservoir and the surrounding Peak District hills. Proof that you don’t always need to travel far to find big landscapes, physical challenges and that unbeatable feeling of being properly immersed in nature.

It was such a privilege to work alongside two brilliant outdoor brands on a campaign encouraging more people to discover the adventures waiting close to home 💛

Search “Blacks 90 Minutes to Nature” to explore the interactive map and discover the walking routes, wild-swimming spots and campsites within reach of your nearest town or city.

Where could you escape to within 90 minutes? 👀

🥾 WE’RE TAKING ON A HUGE CHALLENGE FOR REVIVE!

This autumn, Beth & Janire are taking on the Snowdon 6 Challenge to raise vital funds for our brand new CIC Revive Outdoor Adventures!

The challenge? 👀

⛰️ Summit Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) three times in one day🥾 Tackle all six main routes📍 Cover around 25 miles⬆️ Take on 2,800m of elevation⏰ And complete it all in one VERY long day!

But the challenge isn’t really about us. We’re aiming to raise £1,000 to help us launch Revive’s free monthly group hikes for women who have experienced domestic abuse.

Revive exists to help women rebuild confidence, wellbeing and social connections through safe, supportive outdoor adventures. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us get closer to making those free adventures a reality. ❤️

💷 Can you help us reach our £1,000 target?
You can donate via our website www.reviveoutdooradventures.com/snowdon-6-challenge

And if you can’t donate, sharing this post is just as valuable - help us spread the word and get behind our challenge!

Now… time to start training 🥾

Follow along as we take on the Snowdon 6!

Dealing with some really big feelings right now. 💔

A broken heart. Not quite ready to accept this new reality.

How do you move on from someone you thought you’d spend the rest of your life with?

When you’ve had to choose because you were let down. When you weren’t chosen. When you weren’t fought for.

When there’s only silence. No closure. Unfinished endings. Confusing conclusions. Words left unsaid.

When you’re raging. When you want to scream and fight. When you can’t stop wondering why you weren’t enough.

I’ve been trying to put on a brave face and carry on while feeling completely broken inside. So, if I’ve seemed a little flat or not quite my usual self on walks lately, I’m sorry. I’m still showing up—just feeling a little bruised right now.

I don’t have the answers. I’m simply trying to feel it all and somehow find my way forward.

Anyone else need to climb a hill to cry and scream at the moon? 🌙

Back from the most AMAZING four days in Anglesey and I’m still not quite over it 🥹💛

🥾 43 miles / 70km walked
🌊 Miles of wild coastline
😂 A LOT of laughs
👭 And somehow… 12 new besties

Here are a few highlights from Day 1: Holyhead to Rhoscolyn — and the day the sisterhood was born 😂

🥾 24km
⬆️ 470m ascent

We started at Holyhead Breakwater Country Park before heading up towards Holyhead Mountain… which had decided to hide almost completely in the clouds. Classic Wales. 😂☁️

But the weather had other ideas for us later, and by the time we reached South Stack Lighthouse, the sun had come out and we were treated to the most gorgeous views across the coastline. 🌤️🌊

From there we followed the Wales Coast Path past dramatic sea cliffs, rugged coves, hidden beaches and beautiful stretches of coastline towards Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn.

24km later, tired legs were very happily rewarded with dinner at 🍽️🍷

And somewhere between the cloud-covered mountain, endless coastal miles, questionable conversations and a LOT of laughing… a group of women who had started the trip as mostly strangers had become a proper little crew. 💛

The sisterhood had officially been born 😂

And that was only Day 1…

More Anglesey spam incoming 👀🏝️

I’m SUPER excited to finally be able to share this properly with the ROSA community… 💚🏔️

Alongside my lovely friend Beth, we’ve set up Revive Outdoor Adventures CIC — a brand new non-profit using the outdoors to support women who have experienced domestic abuse.

If you’ve been part of Ray of Sun Adventures for a while, you’ll already know how strongly I believe in the power of the outdoors to build confidence, connection, resilience and community. I’ve seen it happen time and time again on our walks, weekends and adventures — and Revive is about taking that even further, with a really specific purpose behind it.

From spring 2027, we’ll be starting with monthly group hikes across Shropshire and the Peak District, with:

💚 Free places for women who have experienced domestic abuse
🥾 Paid places for supporters who want to join us and help fund those free spaces
🌿 Safe, welcoming adventures led by qualified outdoor leaders
🤝 A supportive community focused on rebuilding confidence and connection

And we’ve got much bigger plans too — skills courses, bigger adventures, kit support and help with some of the practical barriers that can stop women getting outdoors.

We’ve also just launched our website, which makes everything feel very real now 🥹

Beth and I filmed this little video to introduce ourselves and explain a bit more about what we’re trying to create.

And this is where I’d absolutely LOVE the ROSA community’s help…

Please help us spread the word. 💚

Share this post, send our website to someone, mention us to your workplace, a local business, a women’s organisation, a potential partner or simply someone you think would love what we’re building.

We’re right at the beginning, so every share, follow and conversation genuinely helps.

🌿 reviveoutdooradventures.com

📱 Follow us at Revive Outdoor Adventures CIC

And don’t worry — Ray of Sun Adventures isn’t going anywhere! 🌞 ROSA will absolutely continue alongside Revive, with all the hikes, weekends, courses, trips and adventures you know and love.

This is just a new chapter, and I’m SO excited to see where it takes us. 💚🏔️
