Huge congratulations to our supreme of show and recipient of the Babycham Gold Cup 🏆

Best In Show for a British Saddleback!🏆🐷

What an achievement for Silverbirch Lottie 12, affectionately known as Winnie, who took Best In Show at the Mid-Somerset Show!

The one-year-old British Saddleback gilt was placed above cattle, sheep and horses to take the top spot – a fantastic recognition for this breed. Winnie is also currently in-pig, making this an especially exciting time for breeder Lissy, from the The Silverbirch Herd - Seb's Saddlebacks in North Dorset.

Congratulations to Lissy and Winnie on a brilliant result! 👏

The public gates are now closed and the Mid-Somerset Show is over for another year!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today. We hope you all had a fantastic day and enjoyed everything the show had to offer.

It takes an incredible team of people, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors and supporters to put the show together, and we’re so grateful to every single person who helped make today happen.

📣 VISITOR INFORMATION | MID-SOMERSET SHOW 📣

We’re nearly ready to welcome you to the Mid-Somerset Show this Sunday! Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive.

🎟️ FREE ENTRY
The Mid-Somerset Show is free to enter – you only need to pay for parking.

🚗 GETTING TO THE SHOW
📍 Showground postcode: BA4 4GF
AA road signs will be in place on the approaches to the showground to direct you to the correct car park.

If you have pre-purchased a car pass, please make sure it is printed or downloaded to your phone before you arrive, ready for scanning at the gate. Passes can only be scanned once.

🚶 PEDESTRIAN ACCESS
You can walk to the showground from Shepton Mallet via Dark Lane, or via the showground gates on Cannard’s Grave Road.

🚭 SMOKING
Due to the current dry conditions, designated smoking points will be available across the showground. Please do not smoke anywhere outside of these areas.

💧 KEEP HYDRATED
Drinking water is available at various points across the showground, so please make use of these throughout the day.

🎪 SO MUCH TO SEE & DO
We have an action-packed entertainment programme taking place across the whole showground! Pick up a show catalogue so you know what’s happening, where and when.

🐄 ANIMAL WELFARE
There will be plenty of animals to see, but please be aware that the weather conditions may mean some programme changes or disruption where necessary to protect animal welfare (this includes all dog related activities).

🐶 BRINGING YOUR DOG?
Please make use of the water points around the showground and under no circumstances leave dogs in vehicles.

If the weather becomes very warm, we strongly recommend taking your dog home or keeping them in shaded areas of the showground. Please help us keep our four-legged visitors safe and comfortable.
