Happy 4 year work anniversary to our lovely Lilanie ☀️

Four years ago today - Lils was thrown in at the deep end with her very first day landing on the opening of the Royal Bath & West Show.

Since then, she’s become the beating heart of our education work at the Bath & West. As Education & Membership - Event Executive, she’s championed everything from the Field to Food Learning Day to the creation of the Bath & West Education Hub, inspiring thousands of young visitors along the way.

And in true full‑circle fashion, after four years helping the Sections, she finally got to take the wheel of one of the Vintage vehicles - a moment very well earned!

Thank you for everything you bring to the team, Lils. Here’s to many more milestones 🎉👩‍🏫🚜

The third and final day the 2026 Show. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this year, from livestock competitions 🐖 to family entertainment 🎪 live music 🎶 to cider tastings 🍎 and so so much more.

Celebrating First Festival Week 2026 at The Bath & West Showground 🎪🎶

We’re proud to join the industry-wide celebration of First Festival Week with - a brand-new initiative shining a spotlight on everything that makes UK festivals so special.

Here at The Bath & West Showground, festivals are part of our DNA. Over the years, our expansive Somerset site has played host to some truly iconic moments - from the global rhythms of the first ever WOMAD in 1982, to the boundary-pushing sounds of The Bath Festival of Progressive Music - the direct forerunner to Glastonbury - which inspired dairy farmer Michael Eavis to host his first festival just three months later. More recently, we've welcomed tens of thousands of visitors for vibrant, diverse events like New Wine, bringing communities together, and NASS Festival, where music, skate and BMX culture collide in an electric summer atmosphere.

Set in the heart of the countryside, the Showground offers a unique mix of space, versatility and heritage - the perfect canvas for unforgettable festival experiences. Whether it’s first-time performers stepping onto a stage or first-time festivalgoers discovering the magic of live events, this site has been part of countless “firsts” over the decades.
