***ADJUDICATOR ANNOUNCEMENT***
We are delighted to welcome back to Shepshed Mr Antony Edwards. FIDTA
Antony trained at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks in Blackpool, Gaining his Associate in Ballet and Modern Jazz and in his final year being nominated for Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz at the I.D.T.A Theatre awards.
After graduating Antony worked for QDOS Entertainment before joining Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Victoria, then became Dance captain for the European tour of Musical Starnights. Following that he jumped into the roll of Timmy’s mother in a Middle Eastern tour of Shaun the Sheep for Bill Deamer and David Wood.
He then choreographed for Magic Quill theatre company in Oxford and Aladdin at the gala theatre in Durham before heading back to sea as assistant Dance captain aboard The Caribbean Princess and the Sapphire Princess for Princess Cruises. The same year Antony co-created The Fly Boys - a 4 piece vocal harmony group and 2014 found him in Niagara Falls performing Spirit of the Dance, as well as Rock around the clock touring China.
In 2015 Antony made his West End debut in Sadler's Well's production of The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre, for the Birmingham REP, being invited back every year since, twice as Dance Captain and this year casting the role of "the boy" for the 2025/26 production.
In 2018 Antony made his film debut as a Leerie and lover boy penguin in Mary Poppins returns.
He now co-runs a murder mystery company with his wife and two boys in Oxfordshire where he has been choreographing and teaching for multiple dance schools and private schools for the last 15 years, adjudicating and teaching workshops up and down the country, whilst picking up his teaching qualifications where he left off, and continuing his examiner training for the I.D.T.A.
