Officially Introducing Earl’s Yard: A New Independent Outdoor Community Space in the Heart of Sheffield City Centre 🌳
A brand new independent outdoor venue is opening in Sheffield city centre this June, bringing street food, live entertainment, big screen sport, and community events to Matilda Street.
Launching with an official opening weekend celebration on Saturday 13th June, Earl’s Yard is a new open air social space designed around food, drink and culture - with free entry seven days a week outside of special ticketed events. 🎉
The venue will feature a two-storey, 40-foot-long container bar, with the upper level operating as a dedicated cocktail bar and mezzanine overlooking the courtyard space. The site will also include communal seating areas, a live performance stage and two large LED screens for sport and entertainment screenings throughout the year.
The venue’s large screens will host major live sporting events including this year’s World Cup fixtures, while the stage area will provide a platform for DJs, live bands, performers and community led events across the summer and beyond. 🔈
Independent food brand Pieminister is Earl’s Yard’s first permanent kitchen partner, with additional food traders and pop-up vendors to be announced in the coming weeks. 🥧
Earl’s Yard will also launch a new bottomless brunch offering running Thursday to Sunday, with tickets due to go on sale and menus to be released shortly.
Created as a locally owned independent venue, Earl’s Yard aims to offer a more open, accessible social experience in the city centre - combining street food, live music, sport and outdoor culture in one flexible space. Designed as an inclusive environment for all ages, the venue will welcome families, students, groups and visitors looking for a relaxed outdoor space in the heart of the city.
